ProShop ERP vs Infor VISUAL: Which is a better fit?

We switched from another ERP software that was really complicated and misleading.

Proshop has lots of great features and I am exceptionally pleased with almost all of it. The things that I like the most are scope, reliability, IT burden, and visibility.

It was difficult to re-arrange for the order desired. However, the latest upgrade corrected this problem and now has a drag and drop function that makes this process much easier and streamlined.

There is no better feeling than the feeling that someone cares about your business and its success as much as you do and my appreciation of ProShop, the company, is sincere and warranted.

One hurdle in the way was the 20 year old homegrown “ERP. Don’t get me wrong, it served the shop very well for a long time, but it was tired, cumbersome and built on a platform no longer supported.

ProShop is a fantastic piece of software which is flexible and can be fit many use cases. Would (and have) highly recommend.

We immediately began online training, got ProShop onsite and were going live in no time at all.

Overall, we have been thrilled with Infor VISUAL ERP and the Synergy team and are confident that both will continue to contribute to our long-term growth and success.

Implementing Visual with a bad group of consultants created many issues for us within the system.

Synergy Resources has excellent consultants who are readily accessible with strong knowledge of not only the product but its real world applications and best practices.

Was disappointed that the quoting product that comes standard with Visual is too basic. Doesn't support detailed quotes, comments and formulas.

Not only are they great with the technical support but can advise on the business functions/best practices to help become a more efficient company.

The shipping functionality is a little weak and doesn't directly interface with carriers without a 3rd party application.

Overall inside functions works fine and helpful once you are used to it as it provides all the basic needs as well as progress and report.

It's almost like it was an after thought and even though these short comings have been pointed out to them for years there appears to have been no attempt to fix it. VERY frustrating to deal with.
