It was a nice tool to work with, this is mainly due to the ease of making test cases and the good integration with Salesforce.
Releases often break our mappings etc, for a long time no support was available in the US. Even now, contacts change very often, early mac support was bad, support site ticket response is poor.
Great customer support - very helpful and friendly customer support. Lots of feature - you can automate most of the scenarios that you can think of.
As i can remember i really miss there some type of refactoring, when i changed the name of mapped object - it's very annoying going thru all scenario and change it manually.
On time support is the other aspect I liked about it. The team was energetic and able to provide quick solutions to the problem helping us to meet our customer commitment.
Metadata and workspace needs to be refresh often (sometimes compilation error are displayed out of nowhere - all data must be refreshed).
I used Provar for SFDC automation testing and the tool is good and support most functionality & good.
The tool hangs a lot of times, that needs to be stabilized. Frequently we get license issue errors.
Its good for testing all kind of applications like Mobile, REST APIs. Overall i am very impressive about this tool.
The biggest disadvantage with Katalon is the ability to debug the code at run time. When a code gives an error, the compiler moves to the next line without letting us know what the real error is.
Continually updated and fantastic support forum. Easy to use in manual or scripted mode, I moved from manual tests to scripted quickly thanks to many great tutorials and thorough documentation.
This has not been introduced into the public sector yet, which makes it difficult to be completely universal.
I have been evaluating the product to see how it can help us in out Test Automation. I love the simplicity of Katalon Studio but at the same time it is a very powerful tool.
I've also encountered some lag while using this platform on my laptop.
On going support is also great with a very active community and store. Seems like a great solution for small - medium businesses to test web, mobile and api functionality.
Also, since the tool is relatively new to the market compared to some other tools, this makes troubleshooting an issue a bit difficult as you won't find large support community.

In my work, we often need to perform the testing for most of our applications. Katalon Studio helps us with automating the overall testing process for our websites and our API connections, which are very much similar to all the other APIs out there. But what makes Katalon Studio different is the way it integrates the different languages and how it exactly communicates at the backend. The best part about Katalon Studio is that we don't really need to have a very hard high sci-fi technical knowledge in order to use the software. It does also so good for the non-technical users that makes the life that easy. Secondly, Katalon Studio has good integration for evaluating and testing websites and for APIs as well. Secondly, the automation part it's fairly simple and easy to do. Some things that I dislike about Katalon Studio is that the cross-browser communication is not as good as the other software testing tools out there. Secondly, whenever we put in more load for testing catalogs Katalon Studio often breaks and the system lags.
