SpyFu also gives great SEO tools that make it easy to optimize your website from the paid version, but also from the fantastic free version as well.
The information does not match reality about 50% of the time. I understand it's hard getting this data but i get disappointed.
They for starters have a fantastic keyword search tool. It gives fantastic keyword analytics for competitors, adwords buys and comparisons to what purchases your competitors have made.
You can trust it, but it makes me wonder how accurate they are being. Again, update your site and look and feel, or else die with the rest of the decade-old sites.
The keywords are really interesting it is a very good software for SEO very rich in features.
There are often times where SpyFu fails to show any metrics at all in cases where it should. It doesn't seem like a bug but rather a lack of info.
It provides fantastic insight that helps our digital, creative, Go-To-Market and sales teams create more effective marketing materials and campaigns all while understanding our prospects better.
I can pay for it once, use it extensively for analysis and than close the account. I don't see why I should keep it longer.
Moreover, a huge advantage of this software is that it is affordable without compromising on data quality, which is what I value the most.
What is missing is the domain authority of the backlinks.
Moreover, they have an excellent online community on FB whereby they are in continuous dialogue with their users. I believe Brand Overflow will continue to go from strength to strength.
It has been neglected in the past few months with few updates. But they were working on it in the background.
They just added (back) the ability to research competitor keywords. Its fantastic, and the price point is very nice.
Currently, the backlink database and crawler are a bit limited. It's up to 10k crawls and doesn't show when the data link was last seen/found.
My overall experience wirh Brand Overflow is good. The tool is useful and provides great insights into how your domain is doing regarding SEO.
Some of the features, such as the audit tool need more functionality and building out. But I fear the team might spread themselves too thin if they focus on too many features.
James R.: My name is James. I'm a digital marketing manager. I'd rate SpyFu five out of five. For more reviews like this, click the link below. I switched to SpyFu from Semrush, which is another online traffic and analytics tool. And I tried a few others, but mainly it was Semrush that I came from before I switched over to SpyFu. One of the biggest reasons I chose SpyFu is I feel like they, like other tools, focus heavily on organic research, and I was more interested in getting paid PPC research and data. SpyFu has a much stronger suite of tools I found for the paid side of things for analyzing the paid traffic and paid keywords and that kind of thing, even competitor analysis. So for those reasons, I decided to switch over to SpyFu, and that's what I use day-to-day now. Getting started on SpyFu is very simple. You create an account and enter in your website and the websites that you want to track. You can even plug in who your competitors are and create reports that on a regular basis it will send out to you. So getting set up was very, very easy. If you're considering using SpyFu, I would say create a free account. They have just a free tier that you can create and then basically get access to everything. They have an awesome paid feature as well where you get access to more reports and more information, things like that. But give it a trial. Also, maybe test some of the other competitors to them and see what fits your style, what you're looking for, whether it's organic or paid that you're more interested in. And yeah, give it a test and see if you like it.
Prioritize real-user-identified key features according to your needs to find your best fit.
