Great, I'm happy both with the usage of the UX and with the support recieved from the support team too.

Pros

It has an easy to use UX, everyone on the organization has adopted this platform usage and are doing great. Also, the support team is helpful.

Cons

Sometimes it takes a few hours to get a response when it's closing time, maybe having full day support would be more useful.

My overall experience with Sharetribe has been very positive. It was an excellent solution to launch and structure my marketplace. I decided to move on only because my needs evolved and required more advanced customization. I would definitely recommend it to anyone starting a marketplace.

Pros

Sharetribe is a very intuitive and reliable platform to launch a marketplace quickly without technical complexity. It allows you to focus on your concept and community rather than development. The support team is outstanding—always responsive, helpful, and professional.

Cons

As the marketplace grows, some limitations appear in terms of customization and advanced features. For more specific or complex business models, additional flexibility would be beneficial.

I have been working with Sharetribe for 7 years and totally recommend it to you all out there. Their template has been upgraded a lot that even non-tech people are able to edit their own marketplaces by using the no-code configurations.

Pros

Their Support team. They are supportive, dedicated, and super helpful. They always do their best to make sure I have whatever I need.

Cons

Probably their prices. Haha kidding. I guess nothing much now. I do find some bugs in their template, but not a big of deal.

It is a platform built for the sharing economy, with value for money and appropriate features promising smooth membership management.

It is still a young product which needs some tailoring for us to really fully take advantage of the build investment.

At the beginning, I tried out many marketplace software providers and decided on Sharetribe because it offers the best structure and the most options for me. I think it's great that they listen to their customers and are constantly developing the software. I also think their service is excellent. They respond quickly and competently and were able to help me with all my questions. And I like Sharetribe's dynamic style and charisma; you can tell that they are passionate about Sharetribe.

Pros

Cons

\- upper price segment - individual features need to be coded, so not everything you wish is available in no-code-mode

Pros

The ShareTribe team has created a fantastic marketplace software that allows entrepreneurs to build and launch quickly. It comes with the vast majority of the all of the feature you need to launch a product, service or rental marketplace and the UI/UX, content management system and customizability are all best-in-class. On top of building a great product, the team at ShareTribe is fantastic! They respond to support tickets quickly and in great detail, and are incredibility helpful. They offer insights for custom marketplaces too even though I have a third-party developer building it. ShareTribe is also continually improving their product and launching new features. There are several features that I have personally requested that I have seen them launch in the last several months. They clearly listen to their customers. Overall ShareTribe has been a great partner and I'd highly recommend to anyone building a marketplace.

Cons

There are a few minor aspects of the content management system that would make it easier to customize the look and feel of your marketplace without code. For example, it would be great to have a bit more flexibility when designing static pages. There are currently a bunch of templates, but it's fairly rigid if you don't use custom code. However, the ShareTribe team is always improving the product and they are rolling out new features and improvements seemingly bi-weekly that address this.

Hi Scott, thanks for your candid feedback. Our approach to building marketplaces is that there's a set of features available without coding, but if you want a specific unique feature that is not available out of the box, you can add it with custom code or hire a developer to do it. I do understand that it can be frustrating that you need to pay extra to a developer for a feature you feel should be available out of the box. I'm also really about the temporary loss of the content you had added to your content pages. Sharetribe account has multiple "environments" (one for live marketplace, one for testing, and one for development), and you can move data between them, which can cause data from one environment to be overwritten with data from another, and in some cases it's not possible to retrieve the overwritten data. We do have heavy warning popups to prevent this, but we could clearly do more. Luckily our engineers were able to recover your lost data. Juho Makkonen CEO, Sharetribe

Great experience. Custom support is very responsive.

Pros

It was a perfect way to de-risk our project. We used Marketplace Studio from their partner list for custom development. Started out using 90% Sharetibe functionally and as we found product market fit and kept building out features, we are now using 10% Sharetibe.

Cons

We can honestly say that there was not much that we didn't like. We have spent $11,000,000 building out the last custom marketplace, so using Sharetribe was an absolute game changer for us.
