Webit vs Format: Which is a better fit?

Before I was using Webit, I was an active user of Showit, which was an amazing website, so I could customize everything on my own, but I had such a hard time. Sometimes making the smallest edits would take me hours, is what it felt like, and I really needed the help of a team who could go in and make those edits for me, so I could focus on my business, rather than just managing my website. The reasons I chose webit.com really boils down to the one-on-one customer service experience I get with their team. I love connecting with my representative. Anytime I need edits made, it's so easy to just send over an email. Their team takes care of it quickly. Any other edits that need to be made, they're always so receptive and responsive and respectful to my creative vision and it just allows me to focus on my business, rather than getting swept up in the details of managing my website all on my own. Getting started with Webit was extremely easy. I sent them over my current website and gave them a rundown of the things that I liked and didn't like about it, and their team within, I believe, two weeks were able to mimic that website within their models and their templates and make it even better. So it was just a matter of a few quick phone calls and I had a working website with the domain connected with optimized SEO and lots of other features that I wouldn't have been able to manage on my own. If someone out there is thinking about using Webit, I absolutely recommend using their service. I recommend coming to them with... You can have all of your thoughts laid out or coming completely new to this and not knowing what you want. Once you go through their website, they have plenty of templates and examples to choose from. So just coming with an open mind, listening to their suggestions, and coming with some of your own content to bring too is always helpful, but just giving them a call and starting the conversation is really all that you need to get started.

The only one that I really tried in earnest was Squarespace, which came highly recommended, very beautiful, it was just a little bit outside my price point. And I really liked the ease of use of Format, compared to Squarespace, and the fact that it came in within my budget. I chose format because it provided just what I needed at the time. I was looking for something fairly simple, so I came in at a level which allowed me to have the galleries that I needed, just an attractive web presence, and something that was fairly easy to use. I like being able to get in and get started fairly quickly, without too much mucking around. I did also really like the fact that I had the option for HTML customization, so that I could come in, and where I wanted to, I could tweak and update and add a bit more functionality to the galleries or to the pages that I was offering to my clients. That was a really appealing at functionality to me, of Format. And again, it came in at a good price point for me. Getting started with Format was actually quite painless. There's always obviously a bit of time you have to invest when you go into a platform, but Format made it pretty easy to get started, to get going, to get things up and running. And their customer service, I didn't use the customer service directly many times, but when I did, they were really very responsive and very helpful. And I found that, compared to where I had used Squarespace beforehand, I found myself getting a bit lost in that environment. Format, I didn't have that problem. For anyone who is thinking about using Format, I would definitely say they're worth a look. There's obviously a lot of products to consider when you're making a decision like this, but Format's definitely one I would put in the list of things to consider. It's definitely worth having a look. They've got some really nice templates, they're fairly easy to use, and their customer service is very good.
