The most prominent feature Unreal Engine offers you is its fantastic graphical prowess. Even without extensive work, you get AAA quality graphics setup ready for you to unleash your imagination on.
The Unreal Engine is HUGE. So, if you don't have the equipment to run it, you will either have lag time and sluggish processing, or it won't be able to run at all.
It is capable of allowing users to create beautifully rendered animations and games and a great number of tools to allow for that.
I have yet to encounter anything wrong with Unreal Engine, there are monthly updates that fix bugs and add new features.
This is very fluid engine as compared to other engines and user interface is also great and user friendly. Great list of tools and features gives a variety and good range of customisation options.
The mobile platforms support is less than sub par, and exporting your games to mobile platforms is a pain point. Also, even though the learning resources are increasing, it still pales to Unity.
It is fun has many games available reasonable prices I play all the time on my pc the unreal engine is wonderful.
Not that many mainstream mac games, can very difficult to run on older machines.
It was so good very user friendly, especially features like label and conflicts tracking. Checkin and checkout features are awesome.
It hanged during a demo which made the demo totally useless. Because of this issue getting difficult to work with only solution seem to be is to kill and restart application.
Perforce is great, when you master it. It becomes a very powerful and useful tool once you know how to use it.
I dislike how when you switch computers it is difficult to keep the documents check out. I got a new computer and I had to contact the admin to release some documents that I had checked out.
It's amazing to use Helix Visual Client (P4V) on different OS platform with similar user experience, really like perforce's strong notion of a changelist.
Sometimes something will go wrong with a check-in and your files will get locked. Eclipse requires restart to reconnect to eclipse plugin.
I have been using this product (both as Helix and Perforce) since 2000, and it's wonderful. It has just about every feature you could want.
I have had errors when recovering the P4 server, and in the end skipped the update, waited for the next release, which recovered without errors.
Anil: Hi, I am Anil. I am an editor for Creative Alliance. We are a design company and we have eight employees here with us and I give Unreal Engine five out of five rating. So before Unreal Engine, we use Blender and Cinema 4D, and those softwares had some limitations. Those were mainly for designing the models, but for the actual animations, we opted for Unreal Engine because it is much more simpler and you don't need any coding knowledge to use Unreal Engine. So we shifted towards Unreal Engine. So we basically chose Unreal Engine because it is much more simpler, the UX is much more simpler and it shows the real time physics of the animations that we're doing. While simulating, it shows the real time physics and it is much more easier to navigate through the screen as well. And there are no complexities, no codings, no nothing. So we chose Unreal Engine because it's much more simpler and easier to implement in our organization as well. Initially it was a little harder because we were not familiar with the design of the software and it consume a lot of resources as well. So initially it was not a good experience, but it's been more than two years we've been using it. So now it's easier and it is easier to incorporate for anyone. And I can train anyone in my company easily. To the new users out there, I recommend this software highly because even if you don't know anything, there are lots of documentation provided by Unreal Engine and you can get into the software very easily and you can produce high quality 3D animations and 3D images that no other softwares can provide as per our experience. So I highly recommend this software to anyone out there.
