It gives our employees different options for what view works best for them for the tasks they're doing, the interface is beautiful, the customer service is great -- very responsive.
Everything is too much grey in grey, they have pain to read (and they hate the dark mode! It's depressing!) the font is too small.
We´re loving the free version and are seriously considering to upgrade. We are a relatively small team, but we´re growing and Clickup so far is looking great for our organization.
Replying via email sometimes not working so i need to use discord for communication.
ClickUp is a great tool for small and mid-sized marketing teams to keep all their projects organized. The best and most important feature we use is custom properties.
Sometime it is pushing unnecessary reminders which are so irritating.
I think the ease of use, i like the simplicity of having it served as a SaaS so i can login whenever i want and get collaboration done. There is also a function to make it work in Msft Teams - great.
When adding new tickets/cards to my boards, I often experienced delays. A couple of times some of the cards I've just added were lost.
It has a great free plan for those who don't have money to spent with versioning or for small projects. The platform offers great features that go beyond versioning, like continuous delivery.
Sometimes it gets very slow and provides problem to connect or update to the servers. Search is difficult on some pages.
What I like the best thing about GitLab is that it's free and includes a large no of features. And, The features that I like the most are:- Project management, Version control, CI/CD, and etc.
Some features are missing which is available at GitHub.
It is loved by Developers and the Marketing team as well, the flow of approval rules helped to achieve greater efficiency.
There are some conflicts at times, which isn't exactly a con of the software.
The great community that manages to carry out the effectiveness of a project is so fascinating that it maintains its daily use.
A bit confusing at the beginning, it's complex and has a steep learning curve. The user interface could do a make over.
Cassandra: My name is Cassandra. I am a market content specialist at Bloom Growth, and our company is around 75 people big, and I would give ClickUp a five out of five. I've used a lot of different project management tools such as Asana, Trello, Monday, JIRA, and all of them pale in comparison. ClickUp really is superior and it's my project management tool of choice. The reasons that I choose ClickUp are kind of far and in between. I was one of the first adopters of ClickUp years ago and used it as a free user for a very long time and got so much value out of it. And as I changed jobs, I changed project management tools and nothing was as good as ClickUp. I would always tell my managers, "Hey, I know we're using this project management tool, but couldn't we maybe try ClickUp? You can try it for free, and then you'll fall in love and understand that you don't want to use the other tools." And the company that I'm with now, they did that and we're seeing great results because of it. The reason that I personally choose ClickUp not only for work, I use it in my personal life too. You can label things, you can categorize things. There's just so many different options to customize your project management. Gantt charts, lists, boards, different views, different colors. Just if you're a visual person and want to see your boards and lists and things to do in a different way, in a way that resonates with you, maybe your project is pink and all you're looking for is pink. You can do that with ClickUp and I really appreciate that. And the new tools, like the ClickUp Brain. Game changer, it helps my work so much, saves me time. And yeah, I think that's it. When I first started using ClickUp, it was essential that we managed all of our projects and I found it very simple to manage them through ClickUp. It was intuitive and easy to use. It was easy to customize things to what I needed to do. At the time, I was using spreadsheets to use data entry points, and all I would have to do is update the CSV and upload that to ClickUp. And all of my tasks magically got there and it just made my workflow so much easier. And as a manager at the time, it was really easy to teach to my incoming employees and just show them how simple it was to use. So from day one, it was just, "We use ClickUp, this is how you use it."There were hardly ever any questions. And if there were the support was there. I would hop into the chat and somebody would be with me really quickly, which kind of blew my mind because you don't usually get that. But ClickUp has been at the top of the game, in my opinion, since the beginning and since I started using it. If you're considering using ClickUp for your company, I'd say go ahead and do it. Don't wait. You'll be happy that you did. There are so many project management tools out there that will promise you productivity because of their project management platform. I've used a lot of them, and ClickUp is the one I always come back to. It's like it's home.
Justin: Hi, I'm Justin, a senior DevOps engineer, and I work for a company that produces medical imaging software for hospitals and research institutes. I give GitLab four out of five stars. Before using GitLab, we used Phabricator for code review and a server from Mercurial based code storage. I chose GitLab for the company because we needed an all-in-one solution that allowed us to all work in a community platform, something that we could use for everything without having to build and maintain the plumbing between so many different services. I also like that GitLab had an open source edition while having an enterprise product. Having an open source edition means you get a lot of interesting contributions from community contributors such as myself. For testing purposes, it's easy to get a GitLab environment set up. They have an all-in-one installer for the Omnibus edition of GitLab. It's basically just a single Linux package you can install on any server or even a VM. Once you're online, getting started with GitLab is as complicated as you want it to be. GitLab can do a lot, but their documentation is generally very good at walking you through the basics of getting started. So, if you want to get started with something simple like just having a code project, maybe running some CICD tests, they have great documentation on that as well. They have a learning portal now that allows you to get access to some of their best training content and training videos all in one place. If you're thinking about using GitLab, bear in mind that GitLab's business model has changed a bit over the last couple of years. GitLab went public just recently and that has brought about a slight change in their product direction. Previously, there were a lot of GitLab ultimate features that bubbled down to GitLab premium customers like us over time. Officially, they say they can't really comment on public strategy, but I can tell you from experience, there's a lot less of that occurring. There's a lot that is getting in GitLab Ultimate and saying GitLab Ultimate. So, if you're thinking that you'll see GitLab Ultimate stuff eventually come down to GitLab premium, I wouldn't necessarily count on that. The other thing to bear in mind too is that certain GitLab teams, each product has its own different director and team lead, that sort of thing. Certain teams are very much overloaded right now. For instance, the packaging division is very overloaded. There are a lot of half-finished products they haven't been able to get through. Maybe, you're not really worried about the packaging component. I would say the core teams are still working pretty well, but there are some parts of it like packaging that you should definitely ask about with your GitLab sales rep if you're concerned that you may not be able to get features that you want included in the product.
Prioritize real-user-identified key features according to your needs to find your best fit.
