I am very pleased and satisfied with the experience in having with IMIS. The software and staff are amazing.
I have staff that don't like using the system and avoid it whenever possible because they have trouble learning it well.
I am not very technologically savvy, so the in depth explanations of different functions of the site are so helpful and allow me to give our customers the best websites.
Sometimes it takes very long for tickets to be addressed. And the time differences adds to this frustration.
Ease of use, great customer support, ability to create customized reports, integrating reports into our website, excellent - excellent online training on how to use the software.
It is sometimes a little frustrating running reports.
We are very happy with iMIS. Its reliability, customization, intuitive design, and customer support make it an invaluable asset.
The version we were using was outdated, reports were really hard to run, and customer service was not immediate.
Excellent event registration and membership management at a price that can't be equaled. Best of all, it works in and with our client's websites.
It was hard to upgrade if too many releases went by since you were supposed to do one at a time. I almost had a database disaster during one of the updates and lost a couple days to recover the data.
CiviCase brings case management into to application and CiviVolunteer helps you keep track of the eager beavers who want to help your cause.
I have had some trouble using the scheduled mailings feature. Once the mailing didn't go out at all.
I loved how expansive the system was. I liked that I could use it as both a record of donors and donations etc. and as a way to process and track payments/money received.
That said, a person who understands the database can bypass the worst of it -- however, we could do this, and the closest competing product priced itself out of our reach by an excessive import fee.
The community is fairly responsive and keeps an active release cycle as well as an extension community which build meaningful extensions to functionality.
It's built on soon-to-be deprecated software, so investing in its deployment might be a little risky.
George R.: Hi, this is George. I'm a VP of technology solutions in the nonprofit association industry and I'd like to talk about the iMIS Membership Management System, which I give a three out of five. Before implementing iMIS, we looked at several different membership management systems, including MemberClicks and YourMembership, to systems such as Association Anywhere by ACGI and Fonteva. iMIS has traditionally been the market leader in the membership management industry and everybody is familiar with the name iMIS in the association industry. So, it was originally selected by us as a way to gain quick adoption by the users. Implementing iMIS can be a challenge. We had to do several iterations of loading data, to make sure the data was properly loaded and the training for those who hadn't used iMIS was sometimes a lot more complicated than it needed to be. I would make two recommendations to anybody considering iMIS. The first is, pick a quality partner to help you implement it. iMIS does require you to partner with a reseller. Pick one that really knows iMIS and one of you can really trust. The second thing is, make sure you go with the new iMIS cloud version, as that is really the direction the industry is going.
Prioritize real-user-identified key features according to your needs to find your best fit.
