SplashBI helps organizations make the very best business decisions by providing instant access to DATA from disparate systems in the form of reports, visualizations, & trends. See your DATA in Action!
Tableau empowers people throughout the organization to easily ask and answer questions of their data with intuitive, AI-powered tools to make better business decisions every day.
The team we have worked with is very professional and willing to help in any way necessary. When we have opened help desk tickets they have been reviewed and resolved in a timely manner.
Joining tables is still something I struggle with. Mostly it is because I have not taken the time to learn it.
The reporting tool is very nice to use and a real progress compared to what we had before (possibility to schedule, distribute, share reports, compatibility with Excel 365).
The report creation and modification is a little difficult for the mere user with little to no technical knowledge.
The ability to schedule and distribute reports with attachments of various formats is probably the feature I appreciate the most. The ability to view the underlying SQL is also very handy.
We didn't use the Dashboard function so far (out of scope). One problem we had is that the datawarehouse model needs to have been setup correctly (especially the joints) to avoid later issues.
Interestingly the growth in use of the product has been somewhat self propagating. As an example I had people in Fleet request a report from Finance which they loved and asked how they got it.
Still no connector to allow you to access data in Essbase which they have said has been on their list for development.
I enjoy using Tableau and recommend it over other data visualization tools due to the flexibility and the beautiful visualizations that can be made with it.
Large files takes a while to load and sometimes it will crash which is inconvenient. Since there is no auto-save function, you can lose your work if it crashes.
I have nothing but praise for the product. The support, stability, and quality of visualizations are all great.
However, support is terrible for this product and some of the versions are released with a few bugs. We will likely continue to this but it is imperfect.
Overall, Tableau is a fantastic program for getting automated reports created, published, and off your plate. The visuals are amazing and the subscriptions and alert system are my absolute favorite.
Statement: the old invoice needs to be paid. So although we have a written confirmation, that the invoice is cancelled, tableau didn't cancel and now we have no money and no license.
Good software with multiple interesting features and the ability to create attractive dashboards.
The Error messaging is ambiguous sometimes. There is also limited crosstabs which I don't like.
Raju R.: Good morning, Raju, Digital Ops Manager in Walmart. I give Tableau four out of five. Business problem plus, compare the metrics between its department and to the overall market. The most thing I like about Tableau is the highlighted part, I like most. The performance with the higher value come to the top and the lower performance come to the bottom with the highlighted things. That is the must I like. And another thing, it is easy to change between the tabs. That's what I liked. It loaded very slow. And when I tried to run some report, it keeps loading, loading, loading, and I have to close, and turn in again. That's the part I don't like.
