Best for: Coaches, instructors, managers, and presenters looking to boost and measure audience engagement with live polls.
It was pretty fun an awesome to see the result appearing live on each of our screens. You can use it in very serious and more decontracted context: really nice.
Too bad you can only add 2 question forms, because after that you have to pay. The layout may also include more recommendations.
It's also great for anonymity and data analytics. As a result, it's also great for focus group and feedback sessions as people feel more comfortable giving feedback when it's anonymous.
My experience with the customer support is woeful.
I am quite impressed with the live word cloud creation feature and beautiful visualization which makes it easy to use. It has always been a fun and an interactive experience for me and my learners.
Their hours seem to be a Euro schedule with no weekend support. I have requested a refund and have received no response at all.
I am impressed to the features offer in free version. I am also thankful that they have free version rather than free trial.
It can get confusing when using the codes to vote during our Scrum Retrospective. It means we have to have a different code for each team member.
Overall, I was impressed with the functionality, text numbers, and options for something with such a good price. Definitely worth checking out.
After initially being concerned with our problem, the company stopped corresponding with us.
Great customer service, great price, great product. We used it for our annual research competition where the audience gets to vote for their favorite research team.
Our main purpose for using this was for a presentation and it was awkward having to switch to the web browser to present the open-ended questions.
Great integration with Powerpoint and polls are super simple to set up. The poll results can be displayed real time and are a great way to engage the audience/class.
The display options are limited and we've had some technical challenges.
We used it as a way to engage our worship audience in real time each weekend and to have some fun. It was cool, and a success.
The integration with PPT was clunky - had to exit out of presentation mode in order to operate multiple survey questions due to the need to "stop" each question before proceeding to the next.
Kelli D.: My name is Kelli. I am a CCO at a small company, less than 10 people, but four folks right now, and my score for Mentimeter is a four. Before Mentimeter, I was using nothing to try and engage folks in presentations and that worked horribly because nobody was paying attention, especially when they were virtual. So the reason I chose Mentimeter is because I'd heard of it. Most people in education were using it when we first went virtual during the beginning of the pandemic so there was name recognition, but it was the fact that it was super easy that kept me using it. People don't have to download an app, which they're never going to do, it's just a click or a point to the QR code and very, very easy access to engaging in a number of different ways that you said. Getting started with Mentimeter is super easy. I just logged in, I think probably with my Gmail. It's very, very easy to set up. There were more options than I expected there to be but once I saw the different options I was able to figure it out pretty quickly. I would say that Mentimeter could possibly help you, especially if you do a lot of presentations where people are very apt to be doing something else with their phones, which if you're doing presentations they are. I would suggest using Mentimeter. Also, realize that you cannot control what people put in the cloud so if you're working, for example, with high schoolers just realize whatever they're going to type in is going to come up in front of them and you're going to have to deal with it.
