Eszter D
Marketing manager
5.0

Ester D.: Hi, I'm Ester. I'm a marketing manager and I give Attentive a five out of five star. For more reviews like this, click below. When our company decided to look for an SMS marketing platform, we reviewed a couple of options. One of the options were Attentive, which we really liked because they offered free trial version and great onboarding process. And the other option that we looked at was Klaviyo. And at the time we are using a help desk tool called Gorgias. So all our incoming communication flows into Gorgias. And at the time, Klaviyo did not offer an integration with Gorgias, which was very important for us. So at the end, by reviewing both options, we decided to go with Attentive. We really reviewed Attentive. We were very serious about finding a long-term solution for our SMS marketing needs, and Attentive fulfilled all of them. So they offered a free trial version. So that really gave us the ease of mind that we can test it for a couple of weeks. They also offered a great onboarding process. So we had a dedicated account manager who helped Attentive integrating with Shopify, that's the e-commerce platform that we use. So they walked me through the integration process and they also give us like best practices, suggestions on how to set up our automations and our campaigns. They also have a very good user-friendly website. So it's very easy to create campaigns and automations. So Attentive really checked all the boxes that we were looking for. It was very easy to integrate our Shopify platform with Attentive. It only takes a couple of minutes. The only difficulty we had was learning how to generate discount codes, because we wanted to make sure that our discount codes that we are sending out through Attentive are unique. So I just reached out to our account manager and he explained step by step what I need to do. They also offer great help tools as far as like help pages, where you can get information step by step on how to integrate with different platforms or different apps. So really integration was a breeze. During the onboarding process, I didn't know that we are able to import contacts. So for a couple of years ago, our company had an SMS list that I didn't know that we can import to Attentive. So during the onboarding process, I found out from our account manager that it's a very easy process. He helped me import the contacts and we were able to reach out to a couple of 100 subscribers, welcoming them to Attentive and letting them know that our SMS number changed and we send them our contact information so they can save it to the phone. So now we actually were able to start out with a couple of 100 subscribers instead of starting from scratch.

Andrew K
Senior Program Manager
5.0

Andrew K.: My name is Andrew. I'm a program manager at a software company, and I would give Avochato a five out of five rating. Before we started using Avochato, we were a very small scrappy team, and we were actually just using one of the team member's Google Voices account to send and receive texts with customers when we needed to. One of the main alternative products that we considered when we were looking at Avochato was called Skipio. The main reason that we didn't go with it was because the pricing wasn't great for a very small team like ours, though it would have been a better option later on as we grew. The main reasons that we went with Avochato were the pricing, and the compatibility with Zapier. The pricing was great for a small growing team like ours. It didn't have too high of a bar to get started. So we could kind of just pay for what we used. And the prices were very, very reasonable, and they stayed reasonable even as we grew quite a bit. And Zapier was another important thing for us because we use Zapier to automate a lot of these processes as they grew, and Avochato worked really, really well with Zapier. It was really easy to set up and really easy to create automated workflows and expand as we grew. Getting started without Avochato was super easy. I think we basically just read some help documentation on the website for maybe 20 or 30 minutes. We got our account provisioned. That was pretty much it. The rest of it, we just sort of added new features and took advantage of new features as we went along, but getting started and being able to send and receive our first texts took no more than 10 minutes. For people who are considering using Avochato, I would recommend thinking about two things, pricing and integrations. One, pricing is important when you start out, but you also have to think about where you're going to go, because if you're growing 10 X one year, you don't want to have to change SMS platforms if you don't have to. So make sure you pick something that works for you now, but will also work and make sense as you grow. The second thing is integrations. For our team, it was really important that the tool that we chose integrate with certain tools like Zapier. And again, this only gets more important as you grow. So make sure it's going to fit with your other tools that you use.
