Cloud storage platform that helps businesses of all sizes upload & share photos while managing storage security through end-to-end encryption & replication features.
Designed for businesses of all sizes, a data protection solution that helps with supporting FERPA, GLBA & HIPAA, centralizing admin controls, creating backup for applications, reporting storage.
It's been a breeze to use, and save things that are major to save in my company, customer service is great helpful and gets back to you right away.
You should avoid uploading music covers or naming your files after songs that are famous, else the bot would send you warning on copyright infringement. You are allowed to challenge this only once.
What I like most about this is that tons of free storage is offered for free and you can earn more storage by watching ads (the best option), installing and playing some games (it's not recommended).
I mean, it's worse: they have "support" but don't return ever (and it wasn't just me. I read several reviews saying that they have this problem). It's not intuitive at all.
One of the best free options for backing up personal files and one of the cheapest for larger files.
I uploaded a Christmas song that we had played for the church and got a warning and challenged the same to avoid account deletion.
When I bought it I could have a great lifetime plan of 10TB for a very competitive cheap price.
From my point of view there is no deficiency in this software.
The very best part of carbonite can be said to be the ease at which things can be set up. On top of that, the program is pretty snappy during installation.
We have computers "die" all the time and without carbonite (or a similar service) we would be in danger of losing years worth of work.
Their support and customer service is really good , they answer to you in a good amount of time. I installed the trial version because the pricing seems good for everything they offer.
Coming off of the trial and into production it seemed that policy settings where missed.
Overall I have loved Carbonite. It gives great peace of mind and is very affordable.
The backup runs frequently and slows the computer down, restoring files after a computer crashes is a huge pain, and accessing the vault can be confusing.
The home version works great. I like the ability to access my files remotely from any computer with internet connection.
The few times that I have had to restore a file or several files were just a minor inconvenience compare to recreating the information from scratch.
Michael S.: Hi, my name is Michael, I'm a director of research, I would give Carbonite a five out of five. For more reviews like this click below. I considered two main other options, I considered iDrive, as well as Google Drive Backup and Sync, but Carbonite turned out to be much better than both of those options. So there are two main reasons that I chose Carbonite. One of them is that Carbonite allows you to see very easily which files have been backed up, at least on a Windows machine. They have a little green dot that appears is in the bottom right of a folder and/or file icon, and that allows you to visually see right away if it's been backed up, giving you a peace of mind about that, whereas other solutions you have to click around and make sure in their software that it's backed up. So that's one thing. And then the other was that when you go to their online interface to access the files that have been backed up, it's much easier in Carbonite to navigate that site and to get to the files you need, and when you do want to download something, you're allowed to do that for up to 10 gigabyte files or folders, whereas other solutions, especially iDrive, I found that you couldn't do such large files or folders, and it was harder to actually achieve that, it wasn't as easy to use. So those are the two main reasons. Onboarding and getting the app ready to use was very easy for all the team members who use it. Basically you download it, install it like any other program. There is only one little thing you have to do which is give permission on your computer to all the files, and especially on a Mac there's a little process you have to go through, but they made that very easy for people to follow, so it wasn't really an issue. If you're considering Carbonite I just basically recommend that you go for it, it is the best option out there. It does have one limitation, which is it's per computer, whereas other solutions you can back up more computers with a single account. But in my opinion, Carbonite is the highest quality solution, it's worth that little bit of extra cost that you might pay for it. So basically if you're considering it, go for it, it's easy to install and easy to use.
