I really recommend this tool. It is a wonderful platform that helps a lot in my projects.
The problem is that it is poorly executed. Collaboard is in a very early stage of development.
My contacts love when I share with them using Collaboard projects. The company is working on new developments and that's great to see and use new improved versions.
I really wanted this to work for me, but unfortunately is an inferior product.
Collaboard is a really good tool and deserves more praise than it is getting. The simplicity of the the board makes it intuitive, which only benefits its users.
It's slow, clunky to use, sticky notes look dated, and it's hard to do mind maps. Its also missing an iphone app.
I really like the speed with which the developpers are improving the software. I baught it about 8 months ago and even in this few months there were tons of things that improved or were added newly.
Also, they take 2 weeks to respond and then tell you that your mail magically has gone to spam. I believed them the first time).
Helps me manage my projects, especially the creative projects. It's flexible and fun to use.
I did purchase it one month at a time, but that was annoying.
The visual appearance is beautiful and feels like bullet journaling, and the ability to adjust the boards to any length or width is a fantastic feature.
I can't think of anything I strongly dislike about the software. There are very occasional bugs with the Chrome browser extension, but restarting Chrome usually fixes this.
I absolutely love Milanote and the ease of use for the tool. It's my go-to for client presentations and I love that boards can be downloaded into a PDF or word doc for easy sharing.
Milanote falls short in some functionalities, such as lacking edit history tracking and restricting content on mobile app for TikTok and Instagram posting.
It is perfect for anyone who likes to see their thoughts laid out in a visual way. Really easy to use and I love the colour options.
I purchased a yearly subscription and after 6 months I realized I only used it for about 40 days. So purchasing a yearly subscription for 80 days of use is a waste of money.
Frank: Hi, my name is Frank. I'm a student ministry director. I would give Collaboard a two out of five star rating. And for more reviews like this, click the links below. So I looked at a bunch of different software before switching to Collaboard and Miro was probably the biggest one that I was looking at before switching. And the only reason why we switched was more to due to pricing than features. So some of the biggest reasons why we chose Collaboard was just the different types of features that it allowed. It covered most of our basis of what we were trying to do. Over the pandemic, we had to jump into being a remote team. So this was really great for helping plan our meetings and to try to get our thoughts down together. It allowed different people to interact and vote on different sticky notes and ideas that we would post, and it would be a really great mind map for us as well. Collaboard was pretty easy to jump in and get integrated. It really allows a lot of different options for creating templates and creating different templates for meetings and different mind maps that you can do. Overall, it was pretty easy to jump in and to invite other users to get into the experience as well. It definitely has a lot less control of how you can administrate different experiences. So for bigger teams, I would say it's a little bit more challenging, but for our team of about five to 10, it has worked for perfectly. I think some recommendations I would have if you're considering this software is to really understand what you really need. If you're looking for something that has all the bells and whistles, this feature or this software might not be for you. There's some definitely other competitors out there that are a little bit more expensive, but have a little bit more features. But if you're looking for basic mind mapping, basic whiteboard ideas, this software works really, really well. It overall is very cost-efficient. It has all the basic features that you're going to need in order to mind map and brainstorm together as a team. It's a great place to store all those things and be able to send them out to other people who might be wanting to see, hey, what did you talk about at that last meeting? Or what are some ideas coming up for the next quarter or the next budget year? So I would say this is a great software if you're looking for some basic features of having a great whiteboard or mind map online.
Speaker 1: Hi, my name's Megan. I'm a freelance copywriter and blogger. I'm reviewing Milanote, and my review for Milanote is four stars. And for more reviews like this, click below. I began using Milanote when it was in beta stage, and before that I had not really used any similar programs. The closest things that I've used would be some mind mapping apps just through Play Store on my phone, and maybe Evernote for note-taking and saving links and things like that. But Milanote is quite unique. It's more of a mind mapping note-taking software, I guess. So, yeah, I don't think there's any other software that's exactly like it. I chose to start using Milanote because, like I said, it was in the beta stage, and I like to try a new software. But yeah, I just liked the idea of the visual layout of the mind mapping style of collecting information and saving links and images and notes and everything. Yeah. So, I started to just see what it was like, and, yeah, I thought it was pretty good. The onboarding was really quite simple. It's easy to use. You just click the button if you want to add an image or a link or a note or a list. There's a side bar that's got the buttons that you can click to add new things to your boards. You can create new boards and add things to your boards. And, yeah, I found it really easy to use, which is one of the things I like about it. If anyone's considering using Milanote, I recommend giving it a try, definitely. I think they have a free plan. I'm not sure what the limits are because I think I got special limits because I started using it so early on. But definitely give it a try because it's quite unique, and it allows you to do quite a lot of things on there. And just the visual layout can be really helpful for some people. If you're planning like a website design or even just planning content for your website, it can be really useful to store the information there and have it all laid out so that you can see it. They also now have templates that you can use to help you plan out different things. They've come a long way since they started in beta, so I'd definitely recommend that if you're thinking of giving it a try, give it a go.
