Roofing and cladding/siding contractors; estimators; material distributors and manufacturers.
Houzz Pro serves professionals in the home remodeling & renovation industry: General Contractors, Interior Designers, Architects, Kitchen & Bath Remodelers, Home Builders, Design-Build firms, & more.
Comprehensive take off system, that is very accurate. Absolutely love Block Cutting and the ability to show Contractors where certain roofing needs to go.
I went to the training class and was very discouraged after completion of the class. I have been in the Roofing for 24 years and have owned and operated 5 different estimating software.
The videos are great to learn the system and for refresher. Most important, take the classes that Applicad offer on line or in person when available.
My understanding the software was build under a cad problem originally used to design nuclear submarines. There are thousands of levers you have to push and pull to make this software work properly.
Excellent tool for both calculating exact costs and for a professional presentation in your quotation.
The problem is, it will take the user hundred of hours to learn the software.
Roofwizard is a great program. It is based on the universally wellknown autocad platform and catered to the roofing market.
Setting up the materials is probably the worst part. Like anything, the prep is always the toughest.
Houzz is great for connecting me and potential clients. A great platform for me to show my services in a space where it will reach more people then a website.
Throwing their hands in the air and pointing to the policy as though they are powerless to do anything is extremely disappointing.
Very well designed online platform that is reliable, fun, interactive, affordable and of high quality.
Should I not mention working within their budget. I am getting all the cheapskates it seems! i understand people are worried; so am I.
Now that they have added video it gives them even more of an edge. I love all of the features and the fact that you can create content within Houzz is amazing.
The answer from Houzz on this problem is the old school mentality of relentless calling of the lead.
For all intents and purposes is good. I would love to see the software evolve more with Task Management, financial reporting and ease of use... especially with tracking orders.
I don't like the fact we don't receive enough matches, wrong match or no response back after we respond.
Chris P.: Hi, I'm Chris. I'm the owner of Modified Kitchen and Bath. I rate Houzz Pro five out of five. So previously, I've used a software called CostCertified, which was good but it wasn't full-featured like the Houzz Pro. Houzz Pro has quite a few options. It has a lot of different segments to it so you're checking a lot of boxes. The reason we chose Houzz Pro was first of all was the cost. Second of all, it allowed us to have a built-in website right on the Houzz Pro setup. It also gave us the opportunity to estimate right from their system, and just was very full-featured for what we were paying. I would say it was very easy to get started with Houzz Pro. Once he got signed up, they made it extremely simple. And even putting the website together, it was probably the easiest I've ever worked on. My recommendation would be Houzz Pro would be a great solution if you're a small to medium-sized company and you're looking for an all-in-one feature set that also includes the ability to manage your website and do your estimates all in one system.
