We use Splashtop to connect to the computers that are in our offices when we're working from home. We also use it to get into the client's computer to troubleshoot and to solve problems from there. What I like the most about Splashtop is that it's really easy to use. As long as you have the credentials to the computer you want to log into, then you can just put them in, find the name of the computer, and that is all you need to do. What I do not like about Splashtop is that sometimes when you connect to another computer, first of all, you can drag and drop files. And second, it might get slower, and that takes a long time to do things on the computer that you're connected. So I think that's something that they should improve.

Michael L.: Hi, my name's Michael. I'm an IT consultant. I give Dameware four to five. For more reviews like this, check out below. We use Dameware as an extra method of accessing our servers when a remote desktop connection is potentially unavailable. We also use it for end user support, when we want to connect directly users workstations. What I like about Dameware is that it's a confirmed connection to a remote server. You don't have to worry about not being able to access the server when you need it, because it has an agent installed that ensures the connection. What I don't like about Dameware is you need to push the remote agent to the users work stations and in some cases that isn't available, especially when it's an ad hoc user support request and you don't always have it available and sometimes it's tough to get that installed remotely.
