However, Microsoft Clarity, being a fairly new platform, fulfilled a need to be able to track user behavior and see what the pain points of our website really are. We decided to go with Microsoft Clarity because, first off, it's a free platform, and second of all, it has excellent features as far as heat mapping, user recordings, and being able to see where users are falling out or having difficulty navigating your website. Getting started with Microsoft Clarity was incredibly easy. We added the code to Google Tag Manager, and from there it was pretty smooth sailing. We made sure that all of the pages were tagged appropriately, and from there we were getting data fed directly into the platform. For any organization interested in Microsoft Clarity, I would encourage them to look at several other paid platforms as well. Hotjar is an excellent platform that provides many of the similar features, and in addition, several added features as well that may be of use to some organizations. For us, Microsoft Clarity covers all the bases. However, an organization looking at Microsoft Clarity might want to look at what else is out there.
