Companies looking to innovate their business with AI customer service. Businesses with high support volume are usually a great fit.
Casetext, the leader in legal AI since 2013, applies cutting-edge AI to the law to help attorneys accomplish critical litigation and transactional work.
The Ada team behind it is very dedicated and friendly and always works to improve the product, which gives me confidence in continued improvements and feature rollouts to improve our user experience.
Ada is a total disappointment — the agents don't see what I sent them, the bot scenarios are cranky, slow and frustrating, I can't send images and videos properly. I hate Ada, bring intercom back.
Last ,I love that we've been able to expand our use cases with the bot and show how it can fit perfectly into any data-driven business.
Two of the products I use started using this and the experience was shitty both times.
The people at Ada are knowledgeable, friendly, and great to work with. The support team is very responsive and helpful as well.
I'm not affiliated with intercom in any way — just a frustrated user.
This is the best and most fun technology that we've implemented for chat deflection and self-help.
Probably the most useful feature is the ability to upload a pleading, have it reviewed within seconds and return a list of suggested cases to strengthen the argument. It is an outstanding product.
Coverage is somewhat limited, for example, there are no law reviews, and administrative materials are limited.
This is a fantastic, lower-cost alternative to Lexis and Westlaw which also has certain innovative tools of its own that are well worth the time to get to know.
I should not expect Casetext to provide that for the amount it charges.
The product is outstanding and the company is innovative and provides excellent customer support. Casetext is my go-to legal research platform, and I've used many in the past.
I had trouble when I used the search term connectors.
I like the helpful instructions on research techniques; user support; the continuing program updates; and the desire by Casetext to improve the program for the benefit of its users.
Sometimes it is a little confusing using secondary sources.
Michael P.: Hi, I'm Michael. I'm a lawyer and I give Casetext a five out of five. I have Fastcase, a competing product, as actually a free benefit of being a member of the Illinois State Bar Association. And I still do have Fastcase, but I've got to admit, I've found it a little frustrating, especially as they moved to a new interface, which was cute and colorful, but I found it hard to understand. But obviously that was another option for me, is to just continue to use Fastcase exclusively. I'm also a past user of Lexus and West software, West going back to the days of modems. And the biggest difficulty with West was the cost. I love their annotations, the editorial support, but it comes at a very, very big price for a small time player like me. I got to know Casetext when I received solicitation urging me to subscribe to their service. They were a pretty new product at the time and I was a bit hesitant to get involved, but they made me an offer I couldn't refuse. So I started using Casetext, and I have to admit it was a bit rough. But what I've found is they'd send out an inquiry saying, "How likely are you to recommend Casetext to a friend, for example?" And I'd give it a rating, which in the early days wasn't all that high. And low and behold, the phone would ring and they'd say, "What can we do better? How could we improve this product?" And there were a number of things that I pointed out to them and low and behold, they listened and I saw this product evolve fairly quickly until it became really now my first go-to place for research. And I'm very, very pleased with it. But a lot of that has to do with their interest in the customer experience and how to be the best possible research platform they can be. Getting started with Casetext, like with any new piece of software, is it takes some doing. I've found it to be a lot more friendly than the advanced interface on Fastcase, But I did have to have some conversations with tech support to get there. I think they've made some modifications, however. Like, for example, at first I would always have a hard time finding the Illinois statutes, and yeah, they were buried behind us a little icon somewhere that really wasn't obvious. Well, now it pops out at you. It's right there, easy to get to and made a big difference. So I think somebody starting today with Casetext is going to find it a lot easier than when I got started with it. The other thing is it's got a very nice, clean interface, and that's so very, very important. Sometimes software gets to be really busy. The designers go a little bit overboard. Casetext, it's there, it's just very simple. Here's a white screen and here's the stuff we've got in nice little boxes well laid out. Doesn't overdo it on the graphics or anything. Just very clean, very easy to understand. If you're considering Casetext, I think you need to consider what it is you are trying to accomplish. You would want Casetext because it's a platform for legal research and it has some nice features. You can, for example, highlight a section in a case, and it will actually copy that into your brief with both the quote you selected and the citation to that quote, saving you a little bit of time and trouble on the brief. It has an artificial intelligence engine, which I think we might talk about as well, CARA AI, and that's the heart of Casetext. You import a brief into Casetext and it'll go through it and give you an analysis, and here are cases you might want to look at that relate to what's in the brief. So it gives you a first cut analysis of the brief. They also have some additional enhancements that have been coming out, parallel search, which I've used. I haven't subscribed to that piece of it yet, but I'm planning to, because it's quite ingenious. They even are tying in with a platform for writing briefs. So Casetext seems to be evolving from pure legal research to a more broad-based platform to help you with your law practice and help you put out a really good persuasive product for the court.
