McCormick Electrical Estimating vs Trimble Estimation Desktop: Which is a better fit?

Tech support is outstanding. This software is the best I have seen at running seamlessly on large networks, as well as stand alone computers.

We paid for trade-services as per their recommendation, but they were never able to link a supplier to get accurate costing for materials. Without accurate costs an estimating software is useless.

McCormick product was a good fit for our company and the way we conduct business today, then vendor was great to work with very helpful with the setup of the program.

I would steer clear of McCormick after using it for a year it has become a burden to use and very encumbering. We went back to pencil and paper until determining what to use.

We have been using Estimation/Maxwell Systems estimating program for over 26 years. It is a fantastic product, on that I would and have recommended to anyone in the market for estimating software.

The vendors inability to make improvements or even fix bugs or error within the program.

There are many functions even after 25 years of using this system that I don't use, but there are many that I do. This software is great and has provided us with winning bids in the 30 to 40% range.

We use to call and get problems resolved right away. Now we have to wait for a call back and I'm not always sitting in my office waiting for calls so I've missed those call backs (frustrating).

Our account manager (Mary Heinz) has been a great help keeping us up to date with the latest software upgrades. We recommend this system over any other estimating software we have tried.
