This right here is the BEST VPN I have ever had the pleasure of using. Before Perimeter 81, I had this line in my bashrc file to greet me in a 'fun' way every time I opened the terminal.
Depending on where you're connecting from, VPN can cut in and out affecting performance. I had to turn it off a few times because the reconnecting was disrupting a virtual meeting.
This is a highly recommended VPN. Our company is very satisfied with the ease of use for our team and the customer support offered by the P81 team.
Horrible, their support for Small Business is nonexistent.
10; great product (for this happy guy who doesn't have to administrate it or pay for it at least).
It will sometimes not connect automatically to the VPN and it’s easy to forget to reconnect manually which can be annoying.
I love how easy it is to successfully switch VPN locations.
We moved away from P81 due to it missing some features, however when speaking to them they were on the road map. I think the product has a lot of potential to grow and evolve.
It allows me to work worry-free from coffee shops and on shared WiFi, safe in the knowledge that my information is secure and not being snooped on. It's fantastic in that respect, and I trust it.
Very occasionally I seem to lose connectivity and have to disconnect and reconnect, but this doesn't happen frequently enough to be a major problem.
This software offers a free plan with 10 GB of monthly data, which is fantastic. It helps to get experience of the service before committing to a paid subscription.
The pricing model, it has different pricing for different set of countries and amount of data for VPN and it can get a little confusing.
I think the best thing is that you can share your account with unlimited users. So all my family can use a great VPN for a very good price.
Slower than other competitors. When I connect the VPN automatically, the VPN always chooses a poor server a.k.a farthest server instead nearest server based on my real IP.
Windscribe attracted me with their impressive free tier. I was so happy with the service I am now a premium subscriber.
While this is a minor complaint, it bothers me none the less.
Karambir: Hi, my name's Karambir. I'm the CEO. I give Windscribe a four. And for more reviews like this, click the link below. So I tested a number of different products and eventually chose Windscribe. I don't remember the names of the products because it's been a couple of years. But Windscribe came up in a lot of the searches for best VPN, and I found that it met my needs so I went with it. Initially, I just wanted privacy. So I was using Windscribe, the app, on my phone or my computer, but eventually I realized that I wanted to run it from the router in my home office. And so, it turns out that they support OpenVPN. So you get all of the benefits without having to install the Windscribe app on each and every device, which I think is great, and it works like a charm. As far as setting up the app for a phone or a smart device or for the desktop, easy peasy, not really a problem. When I wanted to set up my router to use OpenVPN, I had to do a lot of research on my own. They provided minimal setup for specific routers and specific device combinations. So I had to do a little legwork there, but it was well worth it. I eventually found the documentation and I was able to set it up. So if you're going down that route, you want to do some research first before you actually try and install. If you're thinking about using Windscribe for your business, you want to be aware of, what is your goal? Are you trying to access certain networks in certain countries? Are you just looking for protection? Is there a Windscribe link or a set of servers in your state, or not? Because not all are supported, so you want to have some information about your geographic relationship. And then also, what is the feature set you're looking to have supported for your use?
