SpamTitan vs Xeams : Which is a better fit?

Mark: My name's Mark, I am a Director. I'm going to be reviewing SpamTitan Email Security today, and I would give it a four out of five stars. For more reviews like this, please click below. So as far as SpamTitan, prior considerations being Barracuda, Proofpoint, some of the other big players in the market. The reason for possibly choosing SpamTitan over those, is cost. The cost is very reasonable. Another pinpoint would be if you're just using it for cloud, they seem to be just dedicated to cloud and Office 365, so the protection was Office 365 needed. So again, that was their specialty and what they specialize in. So again, cost and being it was cloud-based were two big points to take a deeper look at it. The cost is very low. It's a very, I guess, cost-efficient way to put email protection on your Office 365. It's a way to protect your company against malware and phishing, especially because of the phishing, that it says it protects over 90% of phishing emails coming in, which is really good. And of course, if you don't have it, it just drives everybody crazy with all the spam that they get. So by putting something like that in, it definitely helps out overall, and wastes less time on your employees by trying to figure out what is a real email and what is a spam email. So for implementation of SpamTitan, it is a very easy process. The support group is excellent. Any help that you need, they are to provide it. They know their product better than anybody, so if you have a question with something, those guys are able to do it. But we were able to get it implemented pretty seamlessly, and when we rolled out the Office 365 Suite, SpamTitan just rolled right in with it. For SpamTitan, I think it most specifically helps small-to-medium size businesses. I think it's built to be most effective in those markets. Again, anybody who has Office 365 should be looking for additional email protection. So whether it's SpamTitan or one of the bigger players like Barracuda or Proofpoint, or like I said, there's multiple out there right now that are all doing the same sort of protection. It's very important to at least implement something on top of that to better secure your company, better secure your users, and just overall protect and provide some defense against phishing and malware.

Scott: My name is Scott, from CoreMSP, LLC. We do computer support for small businesses and I give Xeams a solid 4 rating. Before Xeams, we didn't use anything for spam filtering other than built-in Outlook settings. Xeams was great. It had a free community edition for up to five users in-house with a hypervisor machine pre-built. You just load it right up and configure and easy, really easy to set up and start anti-spam filtering for small office. Getting started with Xeams was very easy. They had a pre-packaged virtual machine that just once you download and upload it and couple of configuration settings and it's good to go, it was really under a half hour. Well, I would recommend if for a small office, well, especially the free edition gives you five users. After that, I'm not sure on the pricing anymore, it's been a while. But I would say for a small office just to have good email filtering, it's great.
