From a one-person shop just starting out, to an enterprise scaling their operations, Square works for every type of business.
Entrepreneurs, startups, small businesses, online sellers, e-commerce sites, freelancers, gig workers, digital agencies, schools, betting companies, fintechs, and payment processors.
It's a really good and easy to set up payment platform, and for developers, they have really good documentation in different programming languages.
I dislike the fees that are charged for people processing payments for each transaction.
I love that square payments has my information so I can use it at different stores and always have it text a receipt. I also love the ability to add a tip since I rarely carry cash on me.
The processing fees can be prohibitive for small dollar donations and the lack of ACH payment processing is disappointing.
I would definitely have to say my favorite features about Square Payments is the effective and easy process to accept online and in person payments is wickedly awesome.
In the day and age we live in where people are scared to become a victim of scamming i had to find something my customers would trust.
I love that this is so easy to use and it offers automated updates to your mobile with payments made, satisfaction and rewards. It feels very secure and doesn’t feel like your info is exposed.
You cannot change the currency once you create the customer, it's really bad because maybe the client could pay with another credit card or another currency.
I love the ease with which we were able to integrate our platform with theirs as they offer numerous SDKs and APIs for easy integration & support for popular programming languages.
Some browsers have extension that block loading of script and it can lead to frustrating search for bugs when customers report issues with payment.
We have had a lot of success working with Paystack. We have made a lot of transactions and all of them have been successful.
Dependence on internet access: Paystack needs an internet connection to process payments, so it might not be feasible to take payments if there are problems with internet connectivity.
It was great and wonderful using the Paystack, I was able to make payments easily for my application for school fees and other forms payment.
The fact that same day settlement was not available or was only available at a premium was a downside.
For more advanced scenarios, there are also other options for integration. Their webhook feature is also a great addition that helps solve problems with verification of payment.
There is no instant payout for your earnings 2, You can't receive payment in dollars from all banks.
Maia A.: Hi, my name is Maia I'm CEO of a marketing and videography photography company. And I give Square Payments a four out of five. Some other vendors that I switched over from and were looking into before I switched to Square Payments, where Stripe as well as PayPal and the determining factor had to be deposits. I'm a service based business, so I went to make sure that my customers were able to have that guaranteed they'll get the product they want and a lot of times that means bringing deposits down. And so, PayPal did not allow that and Stripe did not allow that, so that was one of the main factors. Another factor being that Square also integrated perfectly into another application that I was using. And so, it streamlined everything, made it so that I didn't have to keep updating different things or just having another job on top of the jobs that I already have. So for those reasons, I decided to go with Square Payment instead of Stripe and PayPal. So one of the main factors that determined me ending up going with Square Payments was the fact that it had deposits, it allowed me to do a 60% deposit and it streamlined it so I didn't have to follow up with the client, but when the service was done, it automatically followed up with my client through settings that I had specifically put in there. And so, that made my job a ton easier, it makes a client's job attend easier. It streamlines it, making it as professional as possible. Another reason why was because of the invoice tool that they have within their processes. So one of the things that you can do is you can quote someone and through the quote, if they accept it, it will turn into an invoice which makes just giving customers in a service based business quotes and invoices phenomenal. So those are the main reasons why, and lastly, and the most phenomenal one is it's streamlined with another vendor that I use for my actual website hosting. And so, it just made everything easier, it made my job that much easier as well and makes the jobs that I'm able to delegate to other people easier. It actually was fairly simple to utilize Square Payments because there's so many different applications that allow you to do all kinds of service reports and integration. So for mine, I use it mainly for my acuity payment source, which is service based. And so, when people do appointment, they pay through the Square Payments Vendor. And so, it just integrated like that into acuity. And like I said before, it allowed for there to be a deposit place, so that made everything more streamlined. And then actually afterwards, it also integrates into other vendors for payment sources like QuickBooks and all of those things that you want to have for accounting purposes. And you're able to write up reports and different things. So it made integration very simple and very user friendly and not complicated whatsoever and not having to spend a lot of time troubleshooting different systems. It made it very dummy proof, if you will. If someone else is looking for a payment processing system, I would recommend Square Payments because one of the main questions you ask when you're getting any payment processor is how will this be useful outside of just payments? And I have to recommend Square Payments for the plain fact that it integrates so seamless, it streamlines and you're able to run reports about different things. Maybe how many sales that I have on this one specific thing this month, or how was it useful to my customers in being able to get them invoices and they were able to pay to their credit cards or debit card straight from the platform. And so, for those reasons, I would recommend square payments for someone that's looking for something that's useful, streamlined, easy to use and can help their business right off the bat today. They also have a great way of giving you a Square reader that they'll send to you for free, that you can attach to your phone and you use straight to the app. So if you're dealing with customers on the job, that allows you to be able to take payments with credit cards and debit cards right there on the spot for different services. So for all those reasons, I recommend Square Payments for anyone that's looking for it.
