Cameron C
CEO
4.0

Cameron: Hey, what's going on? My name is Cameron. I'm the CEO and founder of Shoelove's Rebels. It's a fashion house and an agency based in Georgia, and my rating for Uizard is four out of five. I use Uizard to build out the designs for my applications that I create for my clients, and I also used it to create my personal app for my business called The World Famous Shoe Pro. What I like about Uizard is that it's very user-friendly. Just discovering it, there's other applications like it, it's relatively new, but it's also very easy to use for something that I've never used before in regards to designing applications and websites and landing pages. So I like it for that. But also the fact that you can share a link of a drafted project with other people and they can actually use it like it's an actual live app, is probably the best thing that I like about it. When I first started using it, I had a team of people with me that were helping me build out my application, and we used Uizard to create the design and the layout of how the app would function in Uizard, so it was very helpful in that respect. What I don't like about Uizard is that in the beginning of using it, I'm not sure now if they've changed it, but from the last time that I used it, you couldn't use it across different platforms. Like I mentioned, there's other apps that are similar to Uizard, like Figma, and you can design on it as well. But say if I worked with a company that only uses that software to create, then I wouldn't be able to use Uizard in other applications. That's probably about the only thing though. It's really, really not bad.

Greg G.: Hey, I'm Greg. I'm a front end web developer at a big tech company. I give Marvel five out of five stars. And for more reviews like this, click below. Before Marvel ... I started using Marvel in an entrepreneurship center environment, and so we recommended using a lot of different products. But for really low-level prototyping, we occasionally recommended using PowerPoint just because most of the people we worked with had access to it, right? It was a great tool that people could use. Personally, I occasionally use PowerPoint and occasionally use things like Sketch or Figma, but found that Marvel was really good for a variety of reasons I could get into. There are a few reasons that come to mind. My big one is that Marvel provides a lot of elements that I ended up using in different design software anyway, but brought them to the forefront. So I think it's more of an opinionated offering. But what's great about it is that if I, as a brand new user, can come in and design something that would take someone who is brand new to Figma or Sketch, it'd have to tack on at least and actually two hours just to get all of the components in. And so, Marvel really provides a way to, I think, jump off at a higher starting point. And then also they're prototyping itself, which is really what I think where they shine. It's just incredibly accessible and makes sharing those prototypes with other people really easy. So Marvel's great for a lot of things. I do think, as I mentioned earlier, there were some parts of Marvel that give you that higher jumping-off point. And I think in some capacity, not in all ways, but in some capacity it's a bit more limited, too. And so what I would encourage teams to think about is if you have an existing design library and whether that exists on Figma, Sketch, InDesign, whatever, whatever tool you might be using, I think it might be worth considering one of those alternatives before jumping to Marvel. If you have no design experience or have some design experience, but not necessarily a huge design library and really just want to focus on the prototyping aspect, I think Marvel is really your best bet. What really shows about how easy it is to start with the product is that we generally recommended teams of people who would come and ask about these products. This is sort of something we promoted internally. And so when people would ask about this, we would just have them make their own account. And that isn't to say that, yes, there are benefits to the sharing aspects and when that was necessary, we would certainly encourage that as well. But Marvel is so easy to just get up and running with that it was, we provided like, "Hey, yup, just login with your email and then you're good to go." "You can get started right after that." So it's really easy to just integrate with whatever you're doing.
