Thus being easy to use for multiple people. We liked the reporting functionality and the comment functions to help improve our requirements and test process.
Lack of out-of-box reporting available with the lower tier pricing options.
It's a great tool that integrates seamlessly with Jira and simplifies communication between developers and testers in our team.
Views would sometimes get stuck and show no tickets, but that doesn't happen anymore.
Super program for test management and perfect connection to other tools.
There is no test automation inside the tool, so we have to use test automation tools as integrations.
I would definitely recommend this product to any company looking to improve their communication process or find a better way of reporting bugs.
Visibility of test cases has increased since now not only QA can see the test cases, Dev team also can see the test cases covered for a given bug and see which test case has failed for the given bug.
As we had no requirement management tool for the moment, it was important to have a good word importer too. And, compared to the other products we tested, Polarion's one is the best I experienced.
There is no such thing in Polarion organization by 'Folders' or 'Tree', everything is done by searching and it is enough not to give the right name or it was forgotten, you will easy get lost.
Compared to other tools Polarion is easy to use and has a brilliant core idea. All functionality is based on the same or on a similar usability.
Some lack of the documentation to make extensions or connections with other solutions.
But also as a standalone product with standard configuration you have a tool with a super solid versioning concept.
It has an older and confusing design. It is quite complex, so in some cases it is difficult to understand how it works.
Also Polarion is super stable. The underlaying SVN-Repository and its datastructure is still backwards compatible with very old versions.
Delays, control of the developers, defects, versions, costs, documents, all in one single solution. Also I can provide access to my customers to let them see the status of their development.
