My overall experience has been great with a few hiccups that have always been promptly resolved.
Far inferior to Visual Studio. Based on SharpDevelop which seems not to be continued (risk).
What I really like about Ranorex is its wide coverage of technologies, relative easy to learn and use UI, pretty robust and reliable element recognition and very helpful and responsive support.
At times I had a hard time identifying why a step failed.
The good support is realy great. We have a very special desktop software with combined technologies (Qt, ATL and .net and a OpenGL graphic area) and the team is doing its best to get it running.
It's difficult to do anything with some of the popup menus that our developers are utilizing.
The integrations and capabilities seem to be great. I've had colleagues use the point and click/recording feature previously and could only say great things.
Not Mac compatible so it has to be ran on a VM. The performance is slow while recording which makes the data entry a little difficult and requires the steps to be modified.
Great, I love that I can use whatever email address I want and see the response. It is fantastic that it is free.
No option to see multiple inboxes at the same time.
An user friendly interface lets you manage all the MFA testing very effectively. Good technical support and also great Customer support for billing related issues.
We were testing an integration with an AI chatbot and needed to have testing candidates apply for fake positions, each test required and email address.
The ease of use and setup is flawless and the APIs work smoothly. Documentation is good and the customer support is very fast.
If they could eventually roll out an SMS inbox without needing to use the API, that would be incredible, but that's a big ask and is the only "weakness" I can think of offhand.
The best option for testing web applications and sending emails. The flexibility to create ad hoc emails for our test domain has been amazing.
The pricing could be lower. The Business plan is expensive.
