I enjoy that I can share folders located anywhere on my PC. The backup "archive" feature is wonderful at ensuring any changes/deletions can be mitigated if unwanted.
Insultingly, amazingly, brutally awful. Might as well come with a caveat emptor label.
I only have to set it once and not worry about it later. It syncs up all my files without fail.
Sometimes there is a lag time between when you drop a media file in the folder, but it usually isn't more than an hour or so.
Overall, I'm happy with Resilio, we're a non-profit and it works great to keep files synced between workstations and servers and between our onsite and offsite file servers.
It occasionally gets confused about temporary files (such as those generated by Microsoft Word and SpaceClaim).
It's been really excellent. This has made distributing project folders and miscellaneous files seamless between team members.
Had a license renewal failure that cost us a day of file transfer with our partner. File permissions don't transfer cleanly.
Good for collaboration and multiple versions of the same documents, and good for sharing documents securely with people outside of your organization. It does what it does well.
As your company grows it will start to have different needs and the software lack of features makes it hard to keep up.
Their customer service is outstanding. If you have a question of any kind, they are always available to answer questions and offer solutions as to how to get the most out of this software.
The expense and the fact that we constantly had trouble finding our files.
Cloud-based and easy to understand web interface is nice. Onboarding and implementation was good and inexpensive.
It is extremely difficult to pay for your subscription. You are required to talk to a customer service agent and it can't be just any customer service agent.
We have had great success with ShareFile. We love the integrations with RightSignature and Outlook and how it fits our office perfectly.
The only problem is who so ever uploads the documents that person can't access those file in future and you can't track what you have already shared and what is pending.
Kevin: I'm Kevin, I'm a systems administrator. I give ShareFile a four out of five, and for more reviews like this click the link below. Before ShareFile we were using Dropbox's professional license and we ran into a lot of situations where we could not transmit certain data across it because they do not have HIPAA level security and we require that on a lot of our files. We ended up deciding on ShareFile because of ease of use, the cost involved with it, and the fact that it had the high level of security that we needed with our files. Since ShareFile setup is entirely web-based, getting set up and started was very easy. Basically, sign up for an account, set up auto payment and things like that, and then you set up your end users. Big consideration for ShareFile is that if you need HIPAA compliance, you really, really need to focus on it. The other alternatives that I've seen that actually were compliant were AT&T's box service, and to us, it just wasn't as nice of a platform as ShareFile, plus ShareFile's a Citrix-based program. And we have worked with Citrix pretty extensively in the past and always had good results.
