I am very impressed with RemotePC and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-use remote desktop software.
Literally a crap shoot what starts not working first. Often have to either restart Remote PC, the connected computer, or the computer I'm connected from.
Great experience and glad we found it. Also I couldn't believe the pricing and have been very happy so far.
I am very angry that this was not explained up front or on any of the prior calls. While I paid a reduced "trial" fee, it was an entire waste of money.
I am astonished about the easy of setup and use of the software. What impressed me most is the speed of operation at the remote PC.
I just hate that there is only one user available...I don't need 10. I need two users and that's not an option.
From start to finish , contacted helpdesk , super fast reply , purchase was very easy , price was amazing and download and set up was easy.
Remote PC software gives full control due to that in some cases personal data can be malpractice which is is very unsecured.
The features to display and virtualize a desktop enviironment is very important, the control features with management is very good and intitutive.
The negative point is that the VDI connection can easily drop if you have internet connection problems.
For working from remote it is a great tool for any network engineer. Displaying a virtual desktop in from of you and operating it at ease is its biggest feature.
Any hiccup in connection and there's no "trying to reconnect" you drop the whole session and have to do a sign in process again.
VSphere management tools are the best in the business. Support is responsive and extremely knowledgeable, and it just works.
Its just sometime, it fail to load apps and require a restart. Switching between apps can be slow.
Once the setup and configuration is up, the system is consistent and reliable. It is very flexible to configure on any kind of environment.
Latest builds are having some bugs and they are hard to troubleshoot without support from tech team.
Christian: My name is Christian. I am a network technician with Florida Medical Clinic in Tampa, Florida. I would personally give RemotePC five stars. I use that pretty much every single day to monitor my project from work. I've used a few different products. I've used GoToMyPC, I've used Semantics product. This is really the first time that I've used it for the project that I'm on now. I would say, compared to the other products, it allows me greater control over my PC remotely. I went with RemotePC ... it was actually pretty high on the search engine results. I clicked on it and I hadn't used it before, so I thought I would give it a try. The price was very reasonable, so I felt that this was a good product to use for my project at home. Getting started with RemotePC is super easy. It can't get a whole lot easier than that. You've got your web interface, you've got your client in your PC itself, and you can just go to the web interface and you don't even have to download a remote app. You can just go to the web viewer and use that without having to even download anything at your monitoring computer. I would definitely recommend RemotePC. It's very easy to use, like I said, and it's very easy to control remotely. In my organization, I use it to monitor my project from work. I can monitor my home pc and I would say given its ease of use, I would definitely rate this probably over other software products.
Praveen K: Hey, my name is Praveen and I work as a system administrator, and I rate VMware Horizon four out five. For more videos like this, click below. We used to run into issues by using the virtual desktops. We used to have Citrix XenApp. We always has to have some network issue and then slowness in the VDI. After moving to VMware Horizon, all these issues have been resolved. Due to COVID, we started using work from home, and for security purposes, instead of using the laptops, we are providing virtual desktops to all the user so that the application code and everything will be more secure when compared to laptops. We worked on Citrix, and then we also looked for some cloud virtual desktop, but finally we picked VMware Horizon for our virtual desktops. Installing VMware Horizon is not too difficult. We also get support from VMware for installing the host, and it's pretty straightforward and the documentation will help us in installing the VMware Horizon. If you are a midsize to a large size enterprise, and if you are worried more about the security and giving laptops to the end user, I recommend VMware Horizon for virtual desktops.
Prioritize real-user-identified key features according to your needs to find your best fit.
