HowNow vs Duolingo: Which is a better fit?

The set up process was easier than I could have ever imagined and the support we have been given (and continue to be given) is brilliant. I'm very pleased we went with this product.

But for actually driving learning outcomes it's extraordinarily weak.

The software has been fantastic for creating a great onboarding experience for our new starters.

A lack of the necessary programme development and UX design skills amongst some departments saw us using HowNow to turn those weaknesses into strengths for our business.

HowNow has a huge number of great qualities. One of the key things is its ease of use, it's a simple pick up and play platform that really does drive a different experience for learning.

Initially using the system is difficult as it's almost a new language to learn, such as nuggets etc.

Its great to have numerous courses at one platform and all stuff really amazing.

Knowledge was found in different areas within our business, and it was difficult to give the right departments, the information they need specifically.

I like the most its useful feature that suit perfectly with the level of each individual, providing the best content and a scalable improvement.

What i dislike about this software is the lack of option for learning offline. I think learning should not be limited to strong internet connection.

Until recently I was very happy with duolingo overall. I am genuinely interested in learning a new language and truly happy that duolingo is helping me learn.

My biggest concern with this app is the lack of conversation, and communication in a variety of situations such as asking food in a restaurant.

I love that feeling of accomplishment after new skill was acquired or new level gained ( and crown for it too ).

It can be more difficult to see where you are headed next than before.

I simply love it, and I recommend it to all my friends and colleagues. It made me progress so much in 3 different languages in a very short period of time.

Sometimes the theme or words become repetitive, and even the fact that you stop accessing the application makes you go back to the beginning, this demotivates you a bit.
