Amanda C
Project Manager
4.0

Amanda: Hi, I'm Amanda, I'm a project manager. I give Ziflow four to five stars. If you want more reviews like this, please click on the link below. So, before we got to Ziflow, we used a program called iMeet. We used it as our project management tool and also combined for some proofing. It was a very archaic system and it did not work as well as we would've liked, so we started shopping and that's how we found Ziflow. So, we picked Ziflow because we wanted a tool that gave us more than just comments from our clients and something very easy for them to use. Ziflow is a tool that allows us to upload websites, videos, graphics. And the beauty of it is that you can zoom in on extreme details or zoom out and get the full picture. And we do such a variety of work that it's really nice to be able to have all of that in one spot so each of our clients can leave the comments they need to and have all their comments in one spot so there's not a ton of back and forth emails. So, starting with Ziflow was actually a relatively easy process. The team there, the staff were just really easy to work with. They set up as many meetings as we needed to, there was no hesitation. And it was just really nice getting all our questions answered. And then if we felt like we didn't understand something, we always had point of contact we could reach out to. And it wasn't just like, "Here, submit a ticket," it was like, "Hey Jackie, I have a question," and I would hear back within 24 hours and that was really nice. I'd say it's, just like any new program, you definitely have your typical setup, getting all the accounts ready and learning the process, teaching it to your team, so there's definitely a little bit of a slow movement with that. But as we've learned, we've figured out the best way it works for us and organizing it. We were able to connect to our Slack which makes it really easy and it's just an overall pretty well adjustable program to introduce to your team. If you and your team are thinking about getting Ziflow, I would definitely take the time to set up a call with their team and discuss all the details of why Ziflow would work for you. The reason it works so well for us is because of the amount of work that we do and it's a continuous daily program that we use. So, if it's something you think you'll use regularly, I would highly recommend taking that time to speak to their team and seeing if it's a good fit for you.

Jacob Ira A
Owner
5.0

Jacob I.: Hi. My name is Jacob and I am the owner and head IT of Rocky Mountain Expert Computer Service. We've used OpenShot for quite a while and I'll tell you it is one of the best programs I've ever had the privilege to bring into our company. Five out of five. So before OpenShot, we used a variety of different programs. The biggest was Final Cut Pro, which of course is the standard in the industry. However, one of the biggest drawbacks of Final Cut Pro simply is the cost. As a small to medium business, it is not very cost-effective to spend that kind of money and we were looking for something with a little more flexibility, a little more open source and OpenShot fit that to the tee. So one of the things that we were looking for in a video editing program was something similar, familiar so that it would be easy to pick up and learn and for anyone who's used another similar program called Audacity, which is basically the same thing for audio only, OpenShot filled that void simply because it was very similar to what we had been using before. So deploying the software was remarkably easy. First and foremost, it's a simple installer file that you download straight from their website. But on top of that, getting to know the software, they make it remarkably easy. They have a variety of tutorials on their website. There's a copious amount of YouTube tutorials all over the internet and if it's not able to do something that you need, chances are there's a plugin that someone has created in order to accomplish just that very thing. So one thing that you want to be aware of if you're getting OpenShot is that while it does open most of the formats from things like Adobe and things of that nature, it can't necessarily save them in those formats. So if you are needing a piece of software in your workflow that will interact with Adobe, have to say, you probably should go with Adobe. However, if you need a video editor and you're willing to learn a new system and honestly, if you're willing to learn a very robust, simple system, OpenShot is a great addition to your business that honestly, it'll catapult you much higher than using, oh God, Windows Movie Maker or anything like that. This is definitely a much more professional grade version. But it's maintained by a bunch of people who are really passionate about video editing.
