I have found it very easy with nice templates to create some very awesome landing pages. I also have an email sign up link for my website to take people to my freebie/signup.
They make it extremely difficult to get anything out of it, with all their technical jargon and crap. Doing everything they can to make it extremely hard to use without having to pay for it.

Before ConvertKit, we had MailChimp, and it was just really complicated and required just a bigger effort than I wanted to put into it. ConvertKit is so simple, it almost looks like you're missing something at first, but then you realize that they've really simplified the process and the dashboard to make everything that you want really easily accessible. So once we saw that, it was a no-brainer to switch over. We chose to use ConvertKit because it's super-easy to use and it seems to be the quickest and easiest platform to broadcast the message out to very specific audiences in very specific ways. So, for example, we had to send out one massive announcement outside of the regular email flow, and so utilizing a broadcast feature was really useful for that. The email capture landing page option that they offer took 15 minutes to set up and has gotten us phenomenal results with a 100% success rate because it works really well into our direct outreach strategy. So these things just make it really worthwhile, and especially that all of this is so quick and easy to utilize and implement, that's why we really like using ConvertKit. The only issue with getting started with ConvertKit is that coming from MailChimp, which has so many bells and whistles and features and pages, and you have to find everything that you need, ConvertKit, the dashboard is so simply laid out. Your metrics are right there as soon as you pop in there, which is exactly what you're looking for on a daily basis, and that's right in front of you, and nothing feels hidden or complicated or hard to figure out. Once you just poke around through a couple of areas, you learn it very quickly and it's super-easy to implement. I would say go in with an open mind and a strategy and really just start playing around with it. The dashboard is easy to follow, and just start clicking through things and finding things and experimenting. And don't shy away from using things like their landing pages, especially to capture email, because it's super quick and easy and gets you great results.
