It was great historically, but the pricing games leave a bad taste in my mouth. Any vendor that raises their price 6-12x without proper communication and warning is going to be permanently fired.
The GUI, the fast file upload, the folder sharing and protections, and SFTP features are excellent. The price point for our plan is fantastic considering the quality and amount of features available.
You typically have to click upload as otherwise it tries to make you drop it into an existing folder.
It was very easy to setup and has been very reliable. The ability to create a separate account for each vendor, and audit their interactions with the FTP server, has been incredibly useful.
In other cases, users forget to flag files for deletion and the space utilization sometimes grows without control.
When you make a product this easy to use you're going to get some happy customers... like me. On top of that they also curate some super interesting content for their download pages.
Once in a while, I'll have to re-upload a file due to an error, but not often. It can be frustrating if upload times are lengthy and the upload fails in the last 10.
Overall experience I would say that Wetransfer is a really good website I like it, and I would really recommend it to you if you want to transfer huge files at good prices.
If you have a weak WiFi connection, the file transfer will take forever. This is inconvenient when you are in a rush or have a tight deadline to meet.
This software / app is wonderful, the idea of being able to transfer large files for free is great, and there is a paid option, which I have never needed yet.
The main defect of the tool is the limit of 7 days for the files to be downloaded. After that, they are deleted from the server.
Very easy to use, we crave simplicity in everything that we do. The ability to simply send large files over the internet that WeTransfer provides is just one of the best.
You don't have a link history so sometimes you have to upload a file a second time just because you lost the link.
Alexis S.: Hello, my name is Alexis, account manager for Genumark, and I give WeTransfer a five star. Before using WeTransfer, I would use WinZip and WinRAR. And even though that was the standard software to be downloading compressed files, I found that they were a little clunky and the interface was not very user-friendly. Those are all things that were really simplified and streamlined by WeTransfer. Main reasons for switching to WeTransfer was the fact that our company was not allowing us to receive zipped files anymore because a lot of malware and just viruses were being transferred by zip files, so we found that the companies that we worked with that were transferring large files, they needed another method to do that. And FTP sites were not adequate. And because we were barred from using WinZip and WinRAR, WeTransfer just answered all those requirements. It was a great fit. I started using the free version of WeTransfer. I used it for about four months. And it was something that I heard from one of my clients that said, "Hey, if I need to get you a file over, I'm going to send it to you by WeTransfer." And I was amazed at how quickly it was able to use and navigate. And I just right away adopted that as a platform for being able to transfer files. It was so easy, very user-friendly. No issues whatsoever. If you're looking for a solution of being able to transfer large files, WeTransfer is the software, the platform to integrate into your organization. Especially the pro version, which allows you to even manage larger files but also being able to see the files that you have uploaded and just be able to manage all the files that you have going on between you and your clients or customers.
