Grades at a click of a button, automated reports that are actually useful, attendance that is easy to track. It’s a lifesaver for any teacher or administrator.
Printing reports, whether it deals with grading or attendance, is ridiculous.
I like how easy it was stay updated on my progress as a student. It makes grades and assignments easy to find and allows great feedback from teachers.
One of the things that bothers me most about PowerSchool is that the buttons are small icons, without labels.
It has been a great tool for have students documents easily accessible. It is great to evaluate students needs because you can access prior years progress.
Many of the activities that required grading in the LMS rarely moves to the grade book. It was always showing an error.
I use it daily in my job with my student records and it is very reliable which is great because I depend on this program to do my job.
Just getting started but so far there are some UI flaws that make me hesitate to dive in further.
This is a great interactive platform for supplemental education for students. The platform looks like a video game platform which is very attractive to students.
Maybe a little less game time, work more problems before playing.
Our experience with Socrates has been great and I love that Socrates is always willing to adapt and change the software to make it fit the needs of elementary students and teachers.
I currently have no reservations regarding this software.
I like that my students are excited to get on Socrates and practice their reading and math lessons. The parents of my students love getting the parent reports weekly.
One thing is it can give some anxiety as you go through the questions together causing some students to rush.
I love that this program makes my students excited to learn. They are eager to progress through the questions and play the games.
The kids really like answering the questions and using this program, but it can be a distraction from the lecture.
Stacey: I'm Stacy. I'm a teacher and I give PowerSchool a three out of five. For more reviews like this, click below. I use PowerSchool every day at work. I track student attendance, I track student grades. I look through their contacts if I need to call home, send mail, things like that. I also use PowerSchool to be able to move students from class to class each year as they transition grades or homeroom teachers. I like that PowerSchool is a one-stop shop. It houses all the students in our school. It houses their contact logs. It has their grades. It has their attendance. I can go there for pretty much anything I need to find about any student in any grade level throughout my days. I don't love that PowerSchool is tricky to connect to our grade book. So it doesn't always just move right on over for making report cards. I wish other assessments that our school takes such as the NWEA or MSAP was also able to be housed in our PowerSchool app. It also is difficult to find quick readings of attendance or quick noticings of a student is present or absent.
