Luma serves various health systems, integrated delivery networks, federally qualified health centers, specialty networks, and clinics, orchestrating the care journeys of multiple patients.
Sole practitioners to large multi-location clinics, including psychologists, physical therapists, speech pathologists, podiatrists, massage therapists, chiropractors, & other allied health professions
There are a lot more positives then negatives. For my money it has been so helpful, it’s like having a dedicated employee for a fraction of the price.
The biggest downside to Luma is the limitations as it relates to scheduling specifics for doctors. There is some (but not a lot) of flexibility.
Overall, Luma has been a huge asset to our practice- their customer service is top notch and we're very happy with them.
Sometimes there are syncing delays which causes problems.
I love the self-automation. It's amazing that you can set perimeters to pretty much every function.
Sometimes the broadcast are difficult to send.
I love that Luma gives us the opportunity to customize the messages that go out to our patients. We have used other software that didn't and this capability is huge for us.
Not having access to patient account numbers and not being able to exclude patients by insurance companies are our major hurdles. It is also a bit pricy and the contract terms are long and inflexible.
Very happy with this product, the ease associated with using it, and the great technical support offered.
However, it does remain a very restrictive platform with multiple irritating imperfections.
The thought behind making this work for many different types of workplaces is outstanding, and the functions that it is capable of is brilliant.
Some lack of customisability (e.g. for session packs etc.). Lack of editing options for clinical notes (e.g. bold, underlining, bullet points etc.).
I found the package super easy and user friendly with loads of great features. I have recommended the program to another practice who have also started using it.
They take a very long time to implement changes, yet they can implement changes fast if need to such as adding telehealth during COVID 19 in a week (if they didn't they would have lost business).
Easy to manage appointments, love the reminders and flexibilty. Great system for all the team to use and will improve our record keeping.
It could mean I end up with 20 min gaps which is a waste of time as can’t offer 20 min sessions. I would prefer to fix the appointment slots.
Prioritize real-user-identified key features according to your needs to find your best fit.
