Content design and desktop publishing software. QuarkXPress has plans for individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, teachers and students.
FlipHTML5's target audience is designers, marketers, business owners, social media managers, publishers, corporate communication, sales, educators, and so on.
There is also an online community behind this software that is wonderful and can usually get you where you want to go if you need help.
Updates are a bit expensive for the frequency which they offer them. I miss the little alien, they could bring that back, a little bit of stress relief I miss.
QuarkXPress is a very elegant and intuitive software to use for layout. I especially like the ability to create templates, master pages and style sheets when creating multi-page documents.
Design flaws in software are a constant obstacle. Can't open multiple projects at once, makes transferring things to a new project a huge pain.
It's ease of use made it the industry standard back in the day, but it's been eclipsed by Adobe and the excellent integration of their multiple software products.
When I first got this software the registration process was laborious and the customer support was terrible.
Does everything I need it to do in design for print. Accurate, fast, reliable and a very powerful bit of kit and that's all that matters in my book.
Since it doesn't seem to be in the industry standard anymore (sadly) it's hard to use daily because the updates do not come through.
Customer Support is excellent. Excited to continue to explore all of the great features.
We have nothing but complaints from customers when they try to pay for one of our books. They are unable to down load the booklet and can extreme difficulty when using pay pal.
It really is a very good website and it helps me a lot with my college projects. I would certainly recommend Flip HTML5 to a friend or colleague.
The desktop version is awful so i suggest using online version all the way. The download process or initial setup was hard to understand.
When I presented the final product to my client she was very impressed and happy with the results. There were a few changes and I needed to contact support to ask for a bit of help and advice.
There is a lack of frequent updates to the available templates offered.
I am very satisfied with the program, because it inspired me at first sight. I appreciate the choice of language and the nice HELP support.
But yeah, getting started is very weird and unclear process.
Grice W.: Hi. My name is Grice. I'm CEO of a recruiting company, and I give QuarkXPress a three out of five. I looked at other products, mainly Adobe Creator. Felt like that it was a little bit more cumbersome to learn. It was also on a monthly subscription basis only, and I didn't want to make that kind of a commitment on an ongoing basis. I wanted to be able to own the software outright, which is why I didn't go with those guys. I went with QuarkXPress because I had some prior experience like 20 years ago using a version of it prior. It felt like I had some awareness of what its capabilities were. It's a pretty hefty program. It's a lot to learn, but I felt like I could have a headstart compared to learning Adobe from scratch. The training was thorough and there were enough online tutorials to help me get up to speed. QuarkXPress is a significant program. It was a big change for some of the folks to learn. There was a lot of hands-on mentoring that needed to be done, but it was a rewarding switch. But it was definitely a pretty challenging onboarding. QuarkXPress is great because it's got so many micro-level ways to adjust and format and things like that that are really important as a designer, as a creator. I feel like if you know what you want to do and what you want to control, that's a good headstart before you make a product selection like this. But I'm really glad I picked these guys.
James K.: Hi, my name is James. I have a company of 1 to 10 people working with me. For HTML5 I'd have to give them a five star in everything that I've been able to use with their software. Well, I use HTML5 FlipBook every day to adjust our Yellow Deli menu for our restaurant. I've made several updates with ease and the final product and outcome is fabulous. Customers love it, and I continue to enjoy working with HTML5 FlipBook. HTML5 FlipBook, the thing that I find that is most of ease to work with is workflow. You're able to integrate photos, video, you can put your links in, and then when you want to even update new menu prices that you've changed and edited in PDF, you can keep your layout that you've actually took the time and detail to make and not have to redo that all over and just go re-upload PDF. And it keeps everything intact, and it's done within a minute and you're good to go. The only thing I can see that HTML5 FlipBook can improve on is actually being able to upload multiple PDFs at the same time that you can even edit your PDFs straight on the site itself rather than editing the PDF and then uploading the PDF, but actually edit PDF itself, so it would have an LCR-reader to be able to [inaudible 00:02:05] the existing text you've already put up. I think that would be a good improvement.
