Synap vs Isograd Testing Services: Which is a better fit?

Speaker 1: I'm Elise, technical trainer at a 200-person company and I rate Synap five stars. Before Synap, we were using Brainshark and it worked fine for our internal training, but I do technical training and in order to have a technical certification program, we really need timed tests to show fluency in our program. And our previous program wasn't able to do that, but Synap was able to do that plus more. We chose Synap because it had all of the features that we wanted. One extra bonus was that Synap comes with 24/7 support, where I can just really quick chat someone and say, "Hey, this looks weird, or how do I do that?" And I almost immediately get an answer maximum within 24 hours. So I've absolutely loved the support that we get with it, plus being able to distribute materials to my trainees as well as distribute exams to them quickly, efficiently, and it's easy for them to use as well. The UI is simple from an admin side as well as from an end user side. Getting started with Synap was really, really simple. I think it took us a grand total of 15 minutes to get it up and running once we got it purchased. So we got it purchased, got it set up, and the bulk of the setup was just me moving my materials into Synap, which luckily we could do all through imports. So as long as I had everything in a spreadsheet, which I already did, I could quickly import all of my test questions. I had a whole bunch of videos that I quickly uploaded and we were good to go. So compared to other softwares I've worked with, it was very, very fast to get going. The advice that I would have is to make sure that you check out both the collections as well as the courses because it did have two different ways that you can distribute your materials. We ended up going with collections. Courses probably work better for some people, but honestly it has been so easy to get going with Synap that if you're looking for something that is quick and simple from both an admin and an end user side and something that has timed exams and a lot of features with those exams, like being able to pull from buckets of questions, I would definitely look at Synap.
