The Pet Friend vs Shelterluv: Which is a better fit?

This is the first product of it's kind that we have used for our shelter management. So far it's been very helpful in allowing us to keep track of all the features we did the old school way.

I feel that the features or the way the features are displayed are a little bit uncomfortable to the eyes.

This software has been a great value for our local shelter.

It is very difficult to retrieve information about an adopted animal - unless we have the name of the animal when it was at the shelter. Most adopters change their names.

Easy to navigate and put data in when it comes to animals in the rescue.

That feature simply doesn't work. The choices for color are not geared to the colors of dogs & cats, no brindle option, or calico option, etc.

The price fit the small business budget. Once you get to know the program it's pretty easy to use.

Our experience has been 98% wonderful. Shelterluv is a hands down improvement over our former system, not to mention what a pleasant experience it is when I have to contact Customer Service.

These are typically not operationally critical, but it's still a source of frustration.

The reporting features and ability to customize just about all aspects of the software are amazing.

While reports are customizable, there is data that is collected in the software that is lost in the ether.

We enjoy it very much- ShelterLuv looks clean, easy to navigate, and has an extremely responsive and helpful support team.

The search and report features have limited functionality.

Fantastic customer service. We felt supported through the entire set-up/configuration process and the representatives were very clear about what the software was, and was not capable of.

I tried other softwares which costed more, were cumbersome, and difficult to set up, and lack of customer service help unless their time was paid for.
