Before using DesignFiles, I was doing everything manually, from spreadsheets and design programs to create my mood boards and also using emails to communicate with my clients. So I decided to join DesignFiles and start using the program because I wanted one place to be able to do everything simultaneously, from creating proposals, to doing the design boards, getting feedback for my customers, and as well being able to upload that into my invoice system, which is integrated with DesignFiles. It was very easy getting started with DesignFiles, mainly because they already had all this video clips with instructions and I could just watch them all over me and my team. So we could watch them and get a sense of what we needed to do it before doing all the work. So for someone wanting to start using DesignFiles, this is something I wish I'd known before. It saved me a lot of time. And time in design, it means money. So for me, it's essential to have one program that I can do basically everything all at once.

So Dynamics was mostly used for collaboration, syncing things, updating the team, creating anything from files together, collaborating around that. And of course, the one drive is an easy one internally, but it was more to have stuff that we can all work on together. I think one of the best things about Dynamics was the fact that it was in a single ecosystem. So if you're a Microsoft user, if you are used to using all of the Microsoft suites, it's just really convenient because it supposedly sync itself and you can actually share things easily without switching to a different platform or switching to different file sizes or file extensions and so on. So that's kind of the sweet spot. I have to admit that I was not that impressed with Dynamics compared with Google, the updates were clunky. It was sluggish. It was hard to find the files in it. I think the sorting system is not that great. There're way too many updates and kind of bug patches on things like that. So it feels like something that was made originally with an afterthought to be a collaborative tool in a cloud and originally is how can we bring the off line into an online environment instead of creating something brand new? Which is a bit of a shame, because it didn't have the same slick feel that other tools do have.
