Designed for those seeking simplified total endpoint management: Inventory, service desk, asset management, license compliance, security, mobility, and more. 50 devices? 50,000? KACE does that.
Overall experience has been good. I am pleased with the interface and the ease in which you can learn the tool.
Sometimes the updates come out a day after patch Tuesday. Sometimes updates fail to deploy with weird error readings that's not very detailed.
Easy to use and implement, customer services are great, very helpful, Knowledge base is excellent.
Sometimes patches fail to install without much of an explanation. Some error codes are given but typically took investigation.
Overall I would highly recommend the product for patch management, which can be used in both domain and workgroup environments. It offers good value for money, for the amount of time saved.
The agent installation on end user computers is a bit confusing.
Easy to configure, good visibility of vulnerabilities from supported applications across our estate.
The configuration and installation of the agent is a bit difficult.
We can also lock machines down if needed. It has great reporting features and the ability to schedule reports.
Overall, the application has limited functionality and works as a basic IT ticketing system. The frequent alerts about restarting the system after the patching is annoying.
Amazing application for IT asset and patch management.
There is no unity between the different modules, other than the color scheme of the UI.
The thing I liked the most about KACE was the ease of use.
Kace agents sometimes just stop working, but I set alerts what that happens on the servers.
KACE has been wonderful for us for years. We did use it for full issue ticketing with the company for years but have recently moved to another program for this purpose.
The View by drop downs/changing views is sometimes finiky.
