ConexED is an EdTech Platform that is the only meeting, virtual classroom, and appointment management solution designed specifically for higher education.
The first 16 years have been actually quite lovely with Pearson. Was a very user friendly products, amazing academic teaching tool, Really fun online books or activities.
In my experience, remedial materials are often still too difficult for students who are struggling the most. There are not enough remedial materials available at varying levels.
It is such a great supplement for learning. In my case as a teacher, it benefits me a lot because its functionality really helps my students understand the material I am teaching.
I don't know if the issues I've had are really a problem with Pearson or an issue with the district not troubleshooting these issues before pushing it out to the teachers and students.
The online books are significantly cheaper, have awesome functions (highlight ability, read a loud, etc.), and Pearson makes a lot of textbooks so there are many different options of what to buy.
There is no way to check the computational fluency of the students (since I am teaching Mathematics) using this software since the questions are either short or multiple choice.
I'm impressed with the MyLab feature available through Pearson, a lot of students seems to enjoy using it and find it helpful for studying or reviewing.
There's no way that students can upload their work.
I loved how easy it was to upload documents and how easy it was for others to view it. Overall format of ConexEd is great and easily navigable.
It's a feature that does not work all the time. A report that can easily be accessed when a counselor is out ill, that shows their appointments for the day.
My overall experience with ConexED was great and easy. I am not to good with technology, but it was really easy to set up and the navigation was great.
There were often times when I had trouble accessing my meeting.
It was extremely helpful to allow me to continue working during the pandemic. I was still able to assist other students and attend important meetings.
It is difficult to manage. There are so many appointments.
Once you get the hang of the platform it is really easy to use. The platform is generally user-friendly and the support team is amazing at tailoring everything to your exact needs.
The only thing that I disliked was that the other person had difficulty assessing the camera as well as seeing my signature.
Alethea: Hi, my name is Alethea. I am a high school math teacher. I give Learning Catalytics a five out of five stars. For more reviews like this, see below. I use Learning Catalytics weekly for my students to interact with them. As far as learning math concepts, I'm able to push out an activity for them, and they give me feedback. Sometimes, I will use it to pair them with other students to answer math-related questions. What I like most about Learning Catalytics is it offers students use of technology, which is basically what they're used to using as far as learning. Every day, they're on their cell phones or some type of computer device, and I'm able to incorporate that into my classroom and that be of use to them in order to learn the different math concepts. And I think just them being able to use their cell phone or use a laptop versus working paper and pencil every day is most beneficial to them. One thing that I would, I guess, like to change about Learning Catalytics is the software itself being able to give students instruction, versus if I roll out something to them, them asking me app-related questions that the app itself will answer those questions for them and make it easily accessible.
