Mostly difficulty in getting certain things to work - automated emails sent by Host Tools getting blocked as spam by ISPs is an ongoing unresovled problem.
My overall experience has been fantastic and I really appreciate how much time/effort it has saved me.
No drawn out calls here. If I had 1-10 rentals of my own this would be the product I'd start with.
The automated messages were very useful and I could resolve 99% of guest inquiries using this feature. The price point was fair for the solution I was using.
Sometimes there is a little bit of a lag between the Host Tools calendar synching with the Airbnb/VRBO feeds.
The team behind this product is very responsive but focused on their roadmap. Easy to evaluate whether or not it will meet your requirements with the free trial.
I misunderstood syncing the calendar and unblocked some dates but was able to rectify.
Adding photos is easy I love the links to google maps and so far guests have found it really useful. Also love the QR code function and that it can just be send over WhatsApp and email.
Occasionally, it timed out, so you sometimes lost information you had added / edited.

It's not the most intuitive for guests to navigate. With all the information necessary, it can be difficult for some things to stand out.

Before using Host Tools I was using Airbnb's native platform for messaging, and it didn't at the time allow for automated messages to be sent using templates. So it was a lot more of a manual process and Host Tools enabled me to automate the processes more saving me a lot of time. I chose to use Host Tools because the price point was highly competitive with all of the other options that were on the market. And it also seemed to be a software service that I was competent that would function well that had a friendly UI interface that in the long run should save me time and that the money and the cost would be worth it. Host Tools was super easy to get started with they have a bunch of templates for you to choose from to kind of set you off as a baseline for suggesting the types of messaging that you would like to use. And that process was pretty streamlined given their interface I felt like it was very easy to get started. For anyone who might be considering Host Tools I would just recommend to go on and give it a try. The cost per month is very reasonable. It's owned and operated by a gentleman named Tom who actually is directly involved with the product and you can get in touch with him very easily, which was even more reassuring. And [inaudible 00:01:35] really personal experience in today's software landscape. He is really open to suggestions for improving the tool as well and we'll make sure that you're off on a good foot and that the software is functioning and ready for you and meeting all your needs.
