Giving feedback, kudos and requesting feedback fits perfectly to create a better company culture, team engagement and overall positive energy.
From my usage, I could not discern anything that I could point out as negative.
Matter is great for fostering feedback and kudos within our organization. Automatic reminders and integration with Slack keep employee feedback top of mind and make it very easy to use.
There were many types of score that I didn't even know how to rate, also the marketing team may become annoying, way too many emails.
I really appreciate the different options Matter provides to recognize great work from teammates. I like that we can customize our options as well to tailor great work appreciation.
I didn't really run into any issues with Matter. My only complaint is the emails are a bit insistent, but that is only a minor complaint.
Matter reminds you to appreciate the good, and share that with you colleagues which makes them feel valuable.
It's hard to get everyone on the team to use it.
Overall it has been a great experience. The team has been very helpful and responsive, including providing recommendations and taking feedback.
The negative can definitely be thew performance reviews are sent to often are sent out before people even know you.
It's a very good value, the customer service is terrific and it really helps simplify and streamline the evaluation process.
Sometimes the questions asked about specific colleagues do not apply to the type of relationship, and sometimes they are hard to understand what is it exactly that is being asked.
This way we can appreciate every employees best efforts, recognize them, is give constructive feedback on areas that could be improved. All working toward the greater good.
Sometimes, I worry if the reviews are actually anonymous or if the reviews can be read by management and they can see who posted the review.
I like the tool, its very easy to use and invites to give feedback that you hadn't thought about, and its the kind of feedback that will improve the result as a whole, more than individually.
Least likely is some of the questions regarding other coworkers that I am unsure of the answers to.
Elvira: Hi, I'm Elvira. I'm a principal ecologist. I rate Matter three out of five. For more reviews, please click below. We started using Matter at my company about 18 months ago to give and receive feedback. Yeah, we've been using it off and on since then. Matter was really useful for us in putting the spotlight on how important feedback is and continuous feedback. We found it really useful to prompt us to give the kind of feedback that people needed for the work that they were doing. The use of Matter went down over time because it was difficult to give really constructive feedback; it felt like when you were requested to give feedback that you really wanted to just concentrate on the positives, and after a while that's obviously nice but after awhile you really need that more I suppose deeper, constructive feedback.
