The thing I like most about TaxDome is it's simplicity. Everything is obvious and the layout is super clear.
Inability to collect client leads from Website, inability to chat with team on tasks.
Customer support has been great as have all of the training videos. I LOVE that there are training videos for the client side AND that many features allow the admin to see what the client will see.
I am also concerned with the fact that it is all-in-one. I haven't used it long enough to know but I suspect they can not do everything well.
We appreciate the customer service especially. The free trainings to ensure we get the full benefit of the various aspects of the system are wonderful.
When I ran into odd problems, it was difficult to get help fixing them. Their FAQs were too generic.
It is user friendly and easy to navigate. I like their association with Stripe, makes it feel even safer of a program to trust my money with.
I wasn't able to make a payment because it kept prompting me to enter in a zip code when that field wasn't available. I tried 3xs but was forced to use a different form of payment, which is annoying.
I LOVE that you can perform tax projections for free before committing to purchasing anything. I also love that it is a cloud software you can access anywhere online and it is super fast.
This is my second (and will be my LAST) year using ProConnect Tax Online. After the first year I had numerous software-related problems and struggled with inadequate and untrained software support.
Overall the product is simple and easy to navigate, customer service is great, it is continually improved year after year. Best cloudbased platform I know of.
The pricing is a bit on a higher side and compared to it's competitors it seems costly.
The software is very much like Intuit's more powerful and robust program Lacerte. It is fairly user-friendly, making it easy to just pick up and use without going through tutorials or training.
Software support personnel are not provided with any training related to tax law or basic tax return preparation, which makes for a frustrating experience as a tax professional.
Can be accessed from any internet connected device. There are also robust diagnostics which are ran on every return which has saved us time and also helps us prepare the most accurate returns.
That way the risk of accidentally typing a wrong number will dramatically decrease.
Reba S.: Hello, my name is Reba. I'm a partner in a small to mid-size tax and accounting office, and I give TaxDome a five star. We have used Asana and Monday, and several different CRM programs, and none of them were able to fulfill the needs that we have at our firm. We switched over to TaxDome because basically everything is one. It's everything that you need in a nutshell. I chose TaxDome for our company because it has a client portal, it has invoicing that we can do straight from one software. We're not having to switch back and forth. It also has a workflow to where we're not having to switch programs yet again. So TaxDome was just a complete... Actually, it's like having another employee, that's how I would put it. Starting with TaxDome was scary at first because I felt like there was a lot that went with it, because it has pipelines and workflows, and invoicing, and portals. But basically once you get started in the program, it becomes a lot easier to use. You just have to apply yourself, just like with anything. If you're considering getting TaxDome, I would get TaxDome. It is worth every penny that you will spend. It is like having an additional employee in your firm. It really does break down the work cycle to where it doesn't seem so overwhelming. It helps you to keep up with your clients, what's going on with them. It helps you to invoice, it helps you to email. There's communication, there's chat within this program. It's basically everything that you need. And cost effective-wise, it is very inexpensive compared to a lot of the other CRM, and if you're having to run with multiple programs, it's just definitely going to pay for TaxDome itself.
