Overall, I find Proliant to be simple and efficient. I have been a fan of the ease of use of ReadyPay for awhile and this newer updated version is just as good.
The system is a few different systems parsed together so there is not a clear and uniform flow from one area to the other. Overall, Proliant was one of the worst mistakes that we ever made.
The set-up was quick and efficient. The staff is great to work with when you need to speak to someone - responsive and pleasant.
Proliant was a terrible decision. Nothing with them went to plan and we were never technically fully moved out of implementation even though we spent two plus years with them.
As a happy user of Proliant, I love its automation tools and the ability to customize workflows and reports.
The multi-factor authentication also makes me a little nuts. Because my browser is set to limit cookies, I have to log in, get a code from my email, then answer three questions every time I log in.
Even on the more challenging days of payroll (LOL) I am able to process payroll in a relatively short amount of time (providing everything works like it should. This is a fabulous payroll system.
There was quite a few 'back of the house' errors that happened as our program was set up that we encountered as I was trying to process payroll.
I have really enjoyed the ease of use and all the partnerships/social benefits that are offered. You never know who is going to join your company bc you offer CitiBike.
They just suck and I suggest you to not to be misled by their sales pitch.
You select what benefits you want to offer, and have fairly good flexibility on whether you want the "gold plated" benefits or the "just good enough" benefits or something in between.
The problem, however, is the fees that employees accounts get charged.
There have been times when I needed help fixing things I did incorrectly or just special circumstances and the Justworks staff was very happy to help me out.
When I was shopping for PEOs, I found lots of nightmare reviews of all the other PEOs I found. The large payroll companies also have terrible reviews.
Justworks is a great solution for smaller companies and freelance agencies that want to provide benefits to their employees. It has a simple and easy to learn the interface and was quick to set up.
There are a couple of limitations that are vexing, verging on boneheaded. PTO requests don't show remaining balance for the PTO plan.

Before Justworks, we had a different platform called Gusto. It was an excellent platform, in our opinion. The only unfortunate reason we had to switch was it just couldn't scale with the size of our company as well as Justworks. And Justworks offered so much more when it came to benefits, which was a huge, huge play. And especially in today's market, that's really what we were looking for. We chose Justworks for multiple reasons. One, they had a lot better benefits than previous HR resources that we had checked out. They were a lot cheaper. Also, the support was just amazing. The Justworks support team has been with us through the thick and thin, especially over these past few years. And that really won us over right at the beginning. And it has been an amazing journey ever since. Getting started with Justworks was super simple. I remember setting it up, as the head admin at the time, and it was very straightforward, very easy to put into place. They had an amazing support team that came alongside of us and were able to answer any questions we had really quickly, which was a huge benefit to helping us get through the setup process. And a lot of it was automated, we just had to upload a few things and everything was super simple. So if you're considering getting Justworks, I really recommend you look into what your company needs when it comes to benefits and weigh those against what other smaller HR platforms can offer. And you'll clearly see that Justworks has an amazing offer point there. But also, I would really highly recommend just reaching out to Justworks and contacting them, because you'll see their 100% awesome customer service team reaching out to you quickly and amazingly.
