It's really limited, there isn't a lot you can do besides adding text, images, documents (only google ones) and videos. The design layouts are really limited too.
Overall, I would highly recommend Google sites. It is the best free website builder online and integrates seamlessly with other google products and services.
There are no many designing options and templates and the website looks unpersonalised.
We love the fact that it's so easy to use and deploy. Real-time editing, integration with other google products, the ability to use advanced functionality.
Layout and customization is understandably quite limited.
