From small companies to large enterprises, Postman supports API development, collaboration, and control for software developers and API professionals in every size and type of organization.
SwaggerHub is best suited for API design, development and architecture teams who require collaboration, standardization, and integration at scale.
Overall I am very happy with the postman. It provides everything which helps to test the APIs and helps in the development of APIs.
Some of the screens are badly sized and there's no resize option - e.g. trying to select the group that a call goes in.
I like friendly interface, rich features, useful response visualization, testing and monitoring. If I have question, I always can find answer in Postman community.
Doesn't sometimes give full picture why Api is failing. Intially was difficult to understand how to use it.
I like that it is so powerful tool to test your REST API-s. I like that you can add token services to Postman, so it totally feels like a super software itself.
It isn't any thing that I dislike about this software.
It is the best suitable tool for all your development requirements. Using this is pretty much easy and the user interface is also very clean.
It adds some headers to your request, regardless of your authorization, and sometimes this leads to an error response from my backend APIs.
Perfect tool to maintain your API docs, with clear structure and good usability. Ability to perform live API calls is very useful.
Changes to endpoints lack any tracking, so updates to properties and such can get lost as a feature progresses through development.
I have found SwaggerHub an excellent addition to our development environment, I especially like the ability to collaborate on API design and lifecycle.
We mainly switched between swagger and postman for a while while our API was unstable.
Seamless integration with OpenAPI standards, makes it very easy to design API through it's textual interface. While you are designing your API, you are already producing documentation.
Inability to customize the formatting of your presented page.
I love the fact that you can enable your API Verbs to be open as a form of Documentation and testing portal for developers who intend to use it.
Difficult to create documentation of non-technical users, difficult set environment variable then postmann.
Michael L.: My name's Michael. I'm an IT consultant. I give Postman a four out of five. For more reviews like this, see below. Initial configuration of Postman is pretty easy. You can get up and running pretty quickly. You can also automatically import configuration from another copy of Postman. Why did I choose Postman? Well, I like being able to share workspaces with my colleagues. I also like being able to alternatively use the application or the web based version of Postman. And I really like being able to import collections from another copy of Postman. Setting up Postman was pretty easy. Most of the fields are pretty intuitively named. It got a little tricky when I had to set up authentication. Fortunately, they have pretty good documentation. For anyone considering using Postman, I recommend thinking about, one, do you need to test authentication and authorization? Two, do you need to collaborate as part of a team? And three, are you okay using free software to start and then layering on more capabilities later?
