Wie bereits beschrieben sind im Laufe der Zeit viele neue Features hinzu gekommen. Anregungen wurden ernsthaft diskutiert und umgesetzt. Das einfache Bedienen erstaunt immer wieder. Die vielen Möglichkeiten diverse Elemente und Verknüpfungen in seine Anwendung zu bauen, ohne Vorkenntnisse ist erstaunlich gut gelungen und umgesetzt. Pros Ich benutze die VR-Suite in Workshops und e-Learning Anwendungen. In Workshops bringe ich den Teilnehmern das Thema "Schulen in einer 360° Umgebung" nahe. Bei der VR-Suite liegt der absolute Vorteil in der einfachen Bedienung und Umsetzung einer VR-Welt. In meinen Workshops kann ich also mit einer konventionellen 360° Kamera Aufnahmen erstellen, die ich dann per Drag & Drop in eine VR-Welt einbauen kann. So kann ich nicht nur über das Thema Dramaturgie und Storrytelling reden, sondern direkt beim Workshop oder Kunden die Themen anwenden und lernen. Der Teilnehmer versteht das leraning by doing Prinzip und findet sich schnell zurecht. Nach nur wenigen Erklärungen konstruiert sich der Teilnehmer seine eigene VR-Anwendung. Kann diese mit unendlichen Möglichkeiten an Hotspots, zusätzlichen Medien u.ä. bestücken und lernen. Somit haben wir diverse Präsentationen, Schulungen wie bsp. Instandhaltung und auch einfach nur das Thema Storrytelling - wie funktioniert ein VR-Video innerhalb von wenigen Stunden gelernt. Absolut empfehlenswert, da eben keine Programmierkenntnisse und komplexe Vorkenntnisse notwendig sind. Cons Da ich die Software schon lange nutze und es bei Software wie immer ist: Es gibt immer wieder mal ein Problemchen, muss ich sagen das im Laufe des Zeit Anregungen und Anmerkungen allesamt umgesetzt und ausgebessert wurden. das K-Lite Codec Pack könnte bereits integriert sein. Our plants are located all around the world and we aspired to make them virtually accessible using the VR-Suite software. Now, we can show our references on, e.g. exhibitions or during customer meetings. The only thing we need is the VR Suite software and respective hardware. Pros VR-Suite is an easy to use software, which allowed us to implement several virtual tours through our reference plants across the globe. Cons Actually, I am quite positive about the software. Since we started using it more than 4,5 years ago, most of the issues that were to be improved in the beginning, were enhanced over the years. We like the media display quality and performance with a wide choice of devices and platforms. Pros We like both the simplicity at the users and content managers entry level and the capability to customize at the expert level using sophisticated integrations on behalf of the support of the development team (if necessary and worth the efforts) Cons There is not much missing at this experience level. The lesser focus on handcontrollers is also a strength when it comes to force simplicity in the usage. Simply focus target points (in our use case) Reasons for choosing VR-Suite Custom development was not a choice at the end because VR-Suite offered all we needed and had a constant developmen cycle to improve and fulfil the promises of their roadmap. Pricing was high but acceptable and matching the quality in the early phase but was kept adjusted over the years with the evolving development of the market. Now the product is affordable for all levels of use cases. The support is excellent and responsive, but not necessary that often. Main challenges were the changes of the external frameworks caused by device changes and OS challenges.
