Weglot is perfect for any type of websites from a simple Marketing site, to a big Ecommerce store.
DeepL Pro is translation software aimed at individuals and companies. Available in several versions, the program can also be used by teams in larger companies.
The automatic translations are very good, and manual editing is intuitive and easy. Further, service has been excellent.
Some added translations aren't necessary and therefore confusing.
The machine translation is of good quality and it is very easy to manually edit the translations from the dashboard. Weglot also translates the content inside the online courses, which is great.
Is a translation calculated per word or per loading the word. The pricing scheme is kinda confusing and this might influence our final decision.
Automated href lang tags and an awesome way to translate make it really nice, simple and valuable to use. Further, at weglot there is one of the best support team I have ever seen.
I was scared to do something wrong. She totally understood my fear and she took her time.
I'm glad it is easy to connect shopife. A very good experience with customer support will help with everything.
Approach to pricing using website word counts slightly unclear.
The speed of the results and the fact that the software learns with the inputs from the user and is always improving the ability to perfect de results.
The biggest downside to DeepL pro is the cost. It is much more expensive than many other translation services, and the monthly fee structure can be prohibitive for many users.
Super easy to use, install and maintain. Great solution, better than the other translation tools out there, easy to get up to speed with.
Translation problems in very specific cases or for less common languages.
Totally, I'm so satisfied with the product and would like to recommend it to anyone who likes professional translation.
Of course, the engine does make some mistakes, but once you use it enough, you can usually predict where they will occur.
The interfere is user-friendly and easy to alter with different recommended phrases. I am very satisfied with the quality of translation that is better than Google.
One negative aspect is that I would have liked to see the web traducer and the TAO tools available in the developers side of the product. But its not actually something I 100 percent needed.
Juliette P.: Hello, my name is Juliette. I'm the CEO of [inaudible 00:00:03], we are a small company of 12 people now, and my review for Weglot, my note would be three out of five. Before Weglot, actually, the website was not in English, so we didn't have anything. We just had the regular Shopify. And so we used Weglot to translate the website at first, but we changed because it was not working great for us. We chose Weglot at first because we wanted to translate our website in English in an easy way, and we have a lot of pages, so it was the best tool that was recommended to do so. It was easy to implement. It was quite cheap. That is why we chose it at first. It's quite easy to start with Weglot because it's automatically integrated with Shopify. Basically, you just have to install the app and then it's quite easy to start. The thing is, when you grow and you have a lot of pages, it requires a lot of time to really fine tune the translation. So quite easy at first, but then when time goes, it requires some maintenance, I would say. My recommendation is to actually dedicate a little bit of time to do it well first and to really review the translations yourself, if you can, of course so really what you get is fine-tuned for your business and your website.
Uwe: My name is Uwe. I'm a seasoned entrepreneur. I have founded six companies over my lifespan, and they range from 14, 15, 16 to up to 220 employees. DeepL was really one of the first AI-driven systems that I have been using in my life, and I really give it a five-star rating. I have been trying to work with Google Translate and Microsoft Translator. They're good systems actually, and they're absolutely useful, but the quality of the translation is always superior when you are using DeepL. I came across it really by chance, and I tried it and it was really amazing what I can do with it. There are so many scenarios that you can realize with DeepL. For me, there are four main scenarios. The first one was really a fast translation quickly when you are on the webpage to have something translated into your language. Then the second was having entire documents translated, like Word and PowerPoint and things like that. The third one was then in my last company, in my latest, that was that we have integrated the DeepL API into our system to have user-generated content automatically translated, so that anybody in the world can read what other people have said. The fourth scenario is one that is very important to me as an author, because I'm writing in English very often. As you can hear, I'm not a native speaker. What I'm doing is I'm writing in English, copying it just with a few clicks to DeepL, translating it to German, and translating it back to English. I'm improving my English that way and improving the texts all the way. These are the four scenarios that really went well, and that was really something compelling so that I stuck with DeepL in the end. There are two ways to integrate DeepL into the company. The first one is the easy part, which is just opening it up to employees and saying, "Okay. Come on. Use it when you need it." It's so simple, it's so easy to use. You don't need any instruction. Everybody knows at once what to do and whatnot. The API introduction took a little bit of programming, but very, very, very little. I have been working in SaaS companies all my life, and having those developers who can do it entirely, and I think it was less than half an hour to integrate it into our software that we had developed. It's really easy to do. You should definitely know what you need for your business because these systems are quite flexible. They can be integrated, but you need to know your business case very, very well. And then, you can go around and test the different systems and see what fits your needs best. In the end, for us, it was a question of quality of translation and DeepL outsmarts Google by far, so far. I don't know whether this will be the case also in two or three years, but at the moment, it is still the case. We are very happy with DeepL at the moment.
