Architectural firms looking for easier means to utilize CAD Software
Architects, engineers and construction service providers, as well as professional CAD users, designers, educators and hobbyists.
This was a great lower cost solution for getting into CAD. The cost is more than what we wanted to spend, but pricing is competitive.
Sometimes the program may crash or shut down unexpectedly. If the autosave feature is not enabled this can lead to a huge loss in work.
Perfect when used as a professional, very comprehensive drawing software. Very precise and in depth approach can be achieved.
Not out main tool because o it inherited problems - 2d drawings and little automation or bim capabilities.
I liked that this software is pretty functional for a light version and comes from the same stable as the industry leader.
The only thing that bugged me about AutoCAD is the long start up time and the fact that it lags sometimes, which is still understandable considering its size and many tools.
It has basic functionalities like creating polygons and advanced features like creating complex network of nodes. Built-in templates of common accessories make my work very easy.
Sometimes it is slow and has many buttons, it is a little difficult to get familiar with the features, but with the time to learn.
The best thing about this software is its affordable price and the amount of functions it has. Just a big wow and also a very easy transition from other 2D and 3D design software.
I lost unsaved work and wasted hours restarting the application, which did cost me a few hundred dollars on billable hours.
The price, as a free user, it great. And what I like most is the fact that it's easier and more logical that other 2D cad software.
Costs me So Much Wasted time due to Constantly crashing and No Solutions seem to be available except and endless Sea of on Line Suggestions that do not work. Complete Lack of Real Customer Support.
The interface is very similar to leading CAD software. The free version is amazing for a 2D CAD.
Technical support seems to be overseas with broken English and difficulty to read English. After 14 days, they said there is hotfix "DraftSight memory saturation hotfix" that could solve the problem.
It does everything i want it do to, and it's very easy to use. It has a lot of really good features, and you can create drawings very quickly.
I downloaded Autocad lt. and will not go back to Draftshight due to no customer support and a major waste of time trying to get it fix.
