It can be difficult to determine what will impact which elements of the site, and other drag and drop editors do make it easier to craft a website purely "from scratch.
Overall thoughts about Divi are: It is worth the money, It will speed up your build time make you more productive and the premade templates help you create an amazing website fast.
I feel that the pricing should be adjusted for the South-African market as the ZAR is very weak against the USD.

I was really frustrated that the layout didn't automatically transfer to mobile and other devices.
Ease of use and a wide range of features that I can customize according to my own needs, along with brilliant support that is very helpful and knowledgeable.
The websites made with it are bloated with unnecessary code. That makes websites made with Divi much slower to load than those that are done with the built in block editor.
Great price, again great help and good easy templates that make it look very professional.

There were times when loading took longer than expected, which can be frustrating when you're needing quick edits live.

What I really miss or maybe I haven't figured that out yet, is the possibility to put different layouts or looks on different pages within one template.
The templates and designs are very well selected with a good eye on Design. The pricing is very fair in comparison to other possibilities.
Maximum size of picturefiles is 10 MB- no possibilty to size up pictures to full-size with a button or so ( maybe I doesn't find it still yet).
Joel: Hi, my name is Joel. I'm the pastor of a growing church called Pentecostal Lighthouse Church in Ajax, Ontario, and I give Divi a five out of five rating. We switched from using Squarespace to run our website platform. We were really trying to use something that was easy to navigate and edit on the fly without knowing a lot of backend code. So we ended up switching from Squarespace to Divi based on the cost. We chose Divi because there was, A, lot more cost savings. Squarespace was raising its prices to the point where it was getting too much to navigate on a monthly basis. And then, we loved the flexibility of Divi. It gave us a little bit more customization than we had with Squarespace. Onboarding with Divi was a little bit more of a curve, learning curve than it was with Squarespace. There was a little bit more of learning the how things work. Thankfully, we had someone walking us through it, so there was some great tutorials available online, which helped a lot. And also, we had an expert graphic designer who had used Divi before, and he helped us navigate some of the challenges that we had. So onboarding it was a little bit more laborious than it was with Squarespace, but the end result is better. My recommendation, if you're considering using Divi, is find someone who's used it before. They are super helpful in walking you through some of the learning curve issues. If you don't have that ability, really lean heavily into their training videos. Take the time. I know a lot of times you just want to get it up and get it going, but do take the time to invest in your learning the back end so that you can use it to its full extent.
