Checkbox vs Baserow: Which is a better fit?

Navigating the dashboard can get a bit confusing, especially because I (as admin) don't use it every week.

This is a great piece of technology. There are so many fantastic use cases which assist to addresses challenges for both the business and its clients.

Formatting options, while present, are not consistently available across the different elements or blocks.

Very pleasant experience to date, team is very responsive, knowledgeable and solution driven, providing best practice advice.

When there's an error, the specific error could be pointed out or highlighted - would accelerate learning for non tech peeps.

They have been great to work with, very commercially focused and all have a can do attitude.

Apps built on Checkbox tend to have a similar look and feel, as there is relatively limited design customisation available other than changing font styles.

Its a great and better alternative than Airtable. Also the fact that there is a self-hosted option, make this really attractive.

Feature parity with competing applications (e.g. Airtable) can create an (somewhat unfair) sense that Baseerow is "missing something.

Easy migration from other applications and the lean and clean interface. The support has been outstanding.

In base row hidden items remain hidden, which makes the entire feature worthless. Also, the controls, are as worthless as airtable, and are not compatible with mobile devices, in imbed / I Frame mode.

I probably like the functionality and having the ability to self host the product is very important to be able to fully customize and align it with the institution's requirement.

There are many basic features missing when compared to Airtable, such as Group By.

I've only used for a couple of months, but have been very pleased overall so far. We were looking for an Airtable replacement tool and this is by far the best we've seen.

One limitation of Baserow.io is its relatively limited advanced functionalities for complex data handling or manipulation.
