Davinci Resolve offers a stunning dashboard that help both beginners and professional edit their videos at ease.
The lack of marketing for the software is probably the only thing missing.
The beautiful thing about the program is that it is very easy to use, and you can use it perfectly in a few days, and at the same time, you can get great colors.
I learnt that one the hard way. It also sometimes has problems with audio output, particularly when you use more than one output device (like headphones and external speakers).
The best of DaVinci Resolve are: The price, ease of use, all in one tools, color correction tools and is stable.
Rendering, sometime need can stop mid way if you use a lot of transition, there's a setting for that.
I was thrilled to find DaVinci Resolve as it helped us cut cost without sacrificing quality. Adobe keeps marking prices up and not making their products better.
If you’re a Final Cut user, this will take done time to adjust to because there is so much.
I love the amount of features that are available here and with the help of YouTube it is really user friendly.
I've had various rendering problems, where final rendering is aborted because of strange and unknown problems.
Adobe Premiere Pro is very simple and easy to use. At the same time it has some very great features to help come out with an great video.
I absolutely hate the User interface and user experience. This software looks and feels complicated and I get a headache just looking at it.
I've been using this editing software for almost 7 years, and all I could say is that is a great software in which you can import or create fantastic animations/ transitions / titles.
When using effect that fades from 0-100 I always get black flicker problems in the final video. If I use the transparency tool and keyframe it from 0-100 it works normal.
I love the software and it is so much better than free versions that are out there.
It can be hard to get up to speed on how to use adobe products in general and this is also the case with Adobe Premiere Pro.
Elijah P.: My name is Elijah. I am the CEO of Active LCC and I give DaVinci Resolve a four out of five. I considered using Adobe Premiere Pro. But I did switch from Clip Champ by Microsoft. I chose Da Vinci Resolve because it was free and it came with a lifetime amount of updates without having to be purchased. It comes with so many good features, like tons of audio quality changing. You can do so much with audio, the video. You can do things with color spectrum. You can key frame. You can do all of that for practically no money and doesn't give you a watermark or anything. You can export it to all kinds of different videos and it's just really good quality for a free editor. Getting started for DaVinci Resolve was pretty difficult because there was so much stuff that you could do and it's just hard to learn to begin with if you are going in completely blind. But if you have a little bit of editing knowledge from other software like Adobe Premiere Pro or some other very complicated editor, you should kind of know what you're doing. But there's just a lot of adjusting that I had to do and there's a lot of features that I had to watch tutorials about, which you can find online pretty simply and otherwise, that's pretty much it. I recommend that you should have at least a lot of past prior knowledge. If you just think that, oh, I'm going to try editing one day and you instantly start with Da Vinci Resolve, you're going to be completely overwhelmed and you're not going to know what to do and you're just going to burn out and run into tons of issues. But I think you should start with a simpler editor, kind of like Open Shot or a Clip Champ, something with really simple controls, basic stuff and then DaVinci Resolve is a very high end, high capability editor, which you should go to after a long time and a lot of editing experience.
Kristen P.: Hi, my name is Kristen. I'm a marketing director. And we gave Premiere Pro five stars. For more reviews like this, please click below. Our team was using a simple program, much like iMovie. And what we needed was some more robust features and abilities to go across channels, especially with our videos, being able to export out in different capacities. So we definitely needed something that was more professional. Adobe Premier provided us with some robust options for us to create more professional videos than we had. We wanted some export-out options that allowed us to format for multiple social channels from the same file. We were also looking for some ways to integrate more volume and audio options than we had before, music that we needed. Adobe Premier provided us some options to actually look at some music, especially for social that may not get flagged, that may not disappear, and so we were looking for that. And then also we wanted some more integration across Adobe Cloud with the other apps we were using. Getting started with Adobe Premiere was actually pretty easy for us. We had some background in video and animation, and we were very excited to see that there were many tutorials available to us, both through Adobe CC, but also through the program itself. It was very easy for us to find everything we needed to and to learn how to cut clips and integrate audio and control the audio and figure out the export options that were necessary for what we were looking for. If you're considering using Adobe Premiere, I would recommend leveraging those tutorials. They were an immense help for us getting started. They were very easy to follow along with. And, in addition, I would suggest leveraging the libraries as well. It allowed us to integrate media across different videos, but if we needed to change one thing in one video, we only had to update that media within the library. So if you don't know how to use the libraries within, there's also a tutorial for that. But it was integral for us to get started.
